A few years ago a friend of mine lost her little girl, she drowned in the bath.
I wrote this while thinking on her.....

Nature never betrayed the quietness of your beauty.
Heaven itself is blinded throughout the night.

For amidst the tall oaks,
Branch charmed by the earnest stars
Your star burns bright
Far into the night.

In heaven too
Double lived in a region new.

that was very sweet WW....  with things like this do you give them to the family?   I only ask because I often write for those that have passed and then struggle with should I give it to their loved ones or not...xx

I suppose it depends on the family in question.

Some people would see the poem as a source of comfort, another family might see it as a reminder, other people might actually be offended.

Death is a mine field, especially when it's the death of a child. How does a parent ever manage to cope with that?

I've written poems for people who died and not been sure if I should give it to the family, so I burnt them in a ritual-type setting and sent it onto the deceased person that way.

Raymond thats a great way indeed.
Evergreen because of the nature of the litle girls death i did not pass it on to her mother,as it was difficult. she was a childhod sweet heart by the way.

I have a book of poems i have written and i hope one day my kids will be able to read it,i have many times written and given poems to people and even had one published once aswell. Ive been told some of my stuff is quite deep. I have not written one for quite sometime now.
