maybe meiah would benefit from a visual image rather than words to start her off?  just a suggestion

Maybe.  Trouble is that the threads of the quickening are words only.

I have loads of visual meditations that I have used.

Up to Meiah really.

Am having a go at watching my thoughts first.....although you tend to see the results here
Kind of passive thinking if you like, a thought grabs me, and I wiffle off with that for a while

Godd.

Now try watching your thoughts vanish.

Ok for those who want to give it ago here is the simplest meditation of all

Some of you will have done this but I am thinkingmore of the people who find it difficult to loose themselves.

Make yourself comfortable

Relax and take half a dozen slow deep breaths.

Now breath normanly, in through the nose and out through the mouth

Observe the breath and only the breath as it enters the body hold it briefly after you have breathed in and also at the end of the out breath.  watch the pauses, in a relaxed way.

Ten minutes is quite enough and this is an easy start but it has more depth than you would think.

Practice will bring change
