That made you look didn't it
I found these rules and regulations on another site.
What do you think...............
(For Chat Area)
The following Rules are designed to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable visit in a caring and comfortable environment. By clicking the link below and applying for a password you agree to these terms.
BOOTING
(A one hour ban)
You may be booted for the following reasons:
1. Using Vulgarity or words considered vulgar are prohibited. Words that are sexually explicit in nature may be deemed vulgar. Please be respectful of other visitor's gender, ethnic or religious backgrounds, and sexual orientation. Please Note: Masking vulgarity, by substituting typed characters (i.e.. # or *), does not avoid the vulgar intent nor the enforcement of our policies.
2. Abusive behaviour, room disruption and harassment of our visitors and staff is strictly prohibited. While we understand the need for lively debate when topic allows, please address the issues and not the person who disagrees with you. Name-calling or any other means to make your fellow guests uncomfortable will be considered harassment.
3. Cyber-sex.
4. Giving reading that we consider to be inappropriate or frightening. You will be warned in the first instance but may be ejected if you refuse to comply with our staff's instruction.
BANNING
(Permanent Ejection)
You may be banned for the following reasons:
1. Solicitation of our visitors and staff. This includes posting URL's or encouraging staff or visitors to visit other chatrooms.
2. If you work as staff on any of the sites, we have on our banned list. This includes a number of hate sites, satanic sites, evangelical sites and sites established by staffwe have sacked. If you have a chatroom get your traffic legitimately and on your own merits and not by acting as a parasite on our site!
3. Impersonation of Craig & Jane Hamilton-Parker or any web site staff will not be tolerated.
Well said Sheela, and if they try to enforce these 'rules' on this forum I for one will break every single one of them!
Have you seen that website via the link Matt posted? Why would anybody want to impersonate that bunch?
It looks like they hit every branch when they fell out of the ugly tree.
I think I might have to join that forum and have a bit of a kick off.

lol never even looked at the pictures.
Would you say then that rules, laws, codes of conduct are pointless then in general or do they serve a purpose?
Rules and laws are fine when the driving force behind them is common sense. Also when they are there for safety reasons and/or just general good manners.
But when people start laying down rules 'because they can' or they just want to throw their weight around then it's just inviting trouble.
Rules n a forum are interesting because they are set by someone who it is their way....
one of the things that I enjoy about this forum is that we push each other without rules.. and we really enforce our own rules - which are if you say something I don't' like I'll challenge you and you will state your case... we actually learn more about each other and life in general.. afteral as David likes to point out these are only words on a a screen _________________ as a babe drinks from its mothers breast so too does man milk mother earth
Words on a screen, yes - but I would be reluctant to totally dismiss the meanings behind these words completely.
The written word is very powerful. It's true a lot can be lost in the written word that would easily convey in the spoken word but the written word can be just as powerful if presented in the right way.
The pen (or the keyboard) is mightier than the sword.
F*ck you Hobbs! You're a right f*cking c*nt for posting this sh*t!
(by the way, when do we do the cyber-sex bit?)
Now we need a scary reading!!
