That's very interesting raymond, thank you.  What of the opposite side to a curse (a bless?)

Yes it is Bravo.

You've got me thinking now, I wonder if there are degrees of blessings...

It must be remembered, that list is just a thing I put together from my work in this field.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who would disagree with it - or at least I hope there are.

Are you asking do I curse people? Yes I do - or at least I have. I haven't had to do it for a while now but I would if I felt there was no other way of dealing with a particularly difficult person.

Curses aren't always as scary or as bad as they sound. Anything where you are transfering negative energy to another person or thing can be considered a 'curse'.

I give an example. A few years ago I had this supervisor at work. Call it a clash of personalities or whatever you will but he and I just didn't get on. And he would often and very deliberatley 'dig me out' for the most ridiculous of things.
It was all getting a bot out of hand because I was constantly being pulled into the manager's office and I even began to receive official warnings about my behaviour.
Something had to be done.

I didn't hate this supervisor enough to reall want to mess his life up so I thought about it long and hard and decided he had to lose his job.
He had a number of children so I didn't want him to lose his job completely I just wanted to stop him havng control over me.

Now the logical side of my brain told me to change departments, then he would no longer have power of me - he would have nothing more to do with me, and actually, a magick worker would probably have done that.
But that wasn't acceptable to me. I like the department I work in, I like my manager and all the other people I work with, so I wasn't preparred to move.

Within a month of my spell this supervisor had been demoted and was now at the same level as me.
He can still make his money up by doing overtime (not that it was that much more than when he was supervisor) so there's no problem with his money or supporting his family.

The irony is, that since his demotion and now we're at the same level, he and I get on really well.

That reminds me of someone from my work. She's been a pain in the ass from the beginning when she did not do the right thing when hiring me so I had to wait a long time till I started work because she was being really unprofessional and lazy. i let that one pass but recently I had another conflict with her about her not doing her job properly. A month or two later I realise she had not  come to work for a long time and when i dig into that I find out she got fired. I was amazed- it's not that i did any witchcraft but I really cursed her in my head and focused all my negativity towards her every time i was seeing her dilly-dallying around the office pretending to work and be important. She'd been working there for many years so the news of her being sacked really surprised me. I guess my energies had something to do with it too.
And speaking of curses, can you share some recipe? Is it plants, candles, copurs, moon phases that you use??? Any particular deity?

What you did Diana was indeed a curse.

I always try to avoid "recipe" type curse simply because a spell that works for me may not necessarily work for you and vice versa.

All the bells and whistles of the craft are nice to look at but it must be remembered they are just props - nothing more.

It's the mind and the intent that are important. It sounds to me like you already have the mind working for you. All the rest is just gravy.

Well, Raymond, I understand there is not a universal recipe, I was just wondering... I have recently ordered myself some herbs: yarrow, hibiscus, catnip, mandrake rout, patchouli, red clover; I have also made some people in Camden Town very happy buying all kind of christals and stones from them (funny that my fav one of them, the hematite, keeps on getting separated from the others and has a tendency of 'hiding' so I always have to search for it). I also filled a beautiful painted box with various colours of candles. As about athame, I am just using a small Toledo sword shaped as Excalibur. :))) I bought it from Spain and somehow seems very appealing to me, it is just a bit too small.
Now I wonder... do you burn those herbs in the ritual or you make satchets of them??? This is a bit unclear.
Did a spel 2 weeks ago and my hair was standing on end. lol. I guess I was 'impressed' :)

You can burn herbs in the form of incense but you really should also include a fair amount of one or more resins with it otherwise you just end up with a foul-smelling smoke.

You can use them in charm bags also you can steep them in oil to make magickal oils every bit as good as the expensive 'Anna Riva' collection of magickal oils.

Get yourself a copy of 'Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs'. I wouldn't normally promote any of Scott Cunningham's books but this one is worth it's weight in gold.
This is purely a reference book and Cunningham manages to keep his personal opinions out of it, something he doesn't manage to do in any of his other books.

It's good for a laugh but when you are trying to concentrate on magickal work it's almost impossible when the room stinks of sweaty socks.
