Towards the end of JUne 2008, I visited Conwy with my hubby on a cold wet and very dull day.....

We were climbing some steps towards a turret in the town walls.
Town is built inside sea defence walls built around the time the castle was built in 1200's

There was a nice warm cafe beconing which had been built inside the turret.

I turned back to look at the bay with all the boats, and I thought the sky looked dark and brooding, and this was reflected in the water in the bay.

I reached for my camera and tried to capture the mood of the scene.

But I caught something else instead.

This next picture is a close up

Is this an alien abduction?

I live about 20mins from Conwy and I can honestly say that if aliens are going to all the trouble of getting here just to rock up in Conwy and abduct one of the locals then I might as well give up and start building my own spaceship so I can find another planet to live on, further away.

Mind you they could have gone a bit further down the coast to Colwyn Bay. They have their own spaceships there... on dole day at least.

Interesting photo though.

I could only see one pinpoint of light!  Was the man still there after you took the picture, Sian?

I don't know if he was or not.
I was not looking at the person on the wharf, I was looking at the reflection of the sky in the water.

I did not realise what my camera had captured until I got home from my weeks holiday and downloaded my photos onto the computer.

I just remember the atmosphere seemed dark and brooding.  The sky seemed much darker to me than it turned out on the photo.

I wanted to capture the atmospherics as I saw them at the time in the reflection in the bay.
But what I remember seeing and what the camera saw are not quite the same.

The brooding rain clouds were not captured in the reflection in the bay.

If you click on the first picture and make it big, you can make out at least 3 bright pinpoints of lights amongst the clouds.

There is a fourth one but it is very faint.

Sian, it might have been a person on holiday like myself.

We had just walked along the wharf, and admired the pretty cottages and the smallest house in the UK, before moving back towards the castle.

We saw the sign for the cafe in the turret and decided we would have a nice hot chocolate and a cake to warm us up... LOL

You have a beautiful and very historic town may I add.

I would love to relocate to Conwy but perhaps a little more inland :)
The area has stolen my heart :)

I have a static caravan at Kinmel Bay, and often I am in North wales at weekends

I am part of HEW Team, (Haunted Expetidtions Wales), although they are taking a break at the moment from vigils due to time commitments with work and their children.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly that it is a beautiful area! I am immensly proud of where I live and the rich history surrounding me.

There are many other places within an easy drive of Kinmel Bay if you are interested, being a local I know of a few places off the beaten track that may interest you

What in interesting picture, I can see why it made you want to show it on here.

The only problem I have is that you ask "is this an alien abduction"

It is something but why does it have to be an alien abduction?

It could be the camera or it could be paranormal but the minute you label it then it loses meaning.

It could be that person in the picture was receiving healing, or in some kind of meditation, or as Hobbs says, it could just be a fault with the camera.

We'll never know what it is, and we'll never know what it isn't.

Have you considered getting this photo looked-up by "somebody in the know" Sheela, just to eliminate possible camera/photographic reasons ?

Hi,

Good picture Sheela

I put this picture on the site a few months back.  I ended up sending it to Gary Hesletine who created 'Prufos', a site for active and non active policemen and policewomen to tell of their experiences with UFO's.  Anyway, he said it was very exciting and that he hadn't seen anything like it before.  At the last he said he would offer to filter it.   I asked him to go ahead but I'm still waiting to hear the result of that...

The picture was taken at Camden Market in London where I'm currently working.  I was on the way to the office when I suddenly got the urge to take a photo.  I see people taking photos everyday and I just felt I had to take one right then.  When I took the first piccy somebody walked right in front of the lens so I had to delete it ... then I took another making sure no-one got in the way.  I know the people in front are a bit fuzzy, thats because I was in a bit of a rush as there was no-one to watch my shop... I took the picture on my mobile phone and didn't stop to look at the pictures (I took 3 of them) till I uploaded them to my pc.  See what you think...

This is what I see in the above picture...

I am not a ufo or alien follower ...LOL

But you do seem to have an image on your film.

I have a Sony DSC- H2

I have use it on many a vigil night and have had some good photo's :)

I am willing to send the original image to an expert.

I sent it to Coast to Coast with George Noory earlier this year, and they displayed it in their photo section.
