Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I am off to the Skirrid Inn in Wales on the 23rd June and wondered if other members had investigated this location and what their thoughts on the place are.

Hi, apologies for not being on the site for an age!!! The Skirrid Inn was a lovely place to visit but there was NO paranormal activity in the pub on the night we attended, it was simply dead! I also had a few issues with some of my team with the way the investigation was handled but you live and learn.

Ghost hunters visited the Inn about a year ago. It is an amazing place.

The only paranormal activity was a tap turning itself on twice during the evening.

Loads of psychic input but that is not activity.

Were you very disappointed

I wasn't too disappointedin the lack of activity because 95% of the time I find ghost hunting to be quite quiet. I was more disappointed with how the team worked over the evening. I have decided to do more investigations on my own or with one trusted friend.

David, question to you (or to anyone else who wishes to answer). Do you think the places we investigate are only haunted because the individuals who investigate these places are haunted?

Never was there a truer saying than "seek and ye shall find" I feel that this applies to think an ye shall find too.

The thing is, what are we really seeking?

hehehe.. good question..

who knows I guess...

from experience I have seen things I have known nothing about... only to find out afterwards that others have seen or experienced the same things in the same place..and often people I do not know...

thus it gives me hope I am not the only haunted one :D

As dave said, when we investigated the skirrid, apart from the taps turning on by themselves, nothing of real paranormal importance happened. Some good psychic input from anne and dave, but no noises, bags or sudeen drop in temperatures. But saying that the skirrid is one interesting old inn with plenty of nasty history within its walls.
