I am pleased to announce that MH finally paid the Coalhouse Fort project for filming at the location in December 2007!!!

Well i didn't think you had a ghost of a chance of renumeration so well done you.

It's about time that the big boys had to pay the little boys in a reasonable amount of time.

I bet if you owed them money you would have received a solicitors letter two years ago.

Still I don't suppose the exposure on national TV did you any harm and in the long run it probably earned more for the fort than your recently received fee.

I'm afraid i'm not allowed to discuss the amount.
Not as much as people might think.

Makes me laugh though Raymond. It's no where near what people think.
But as David says, we have made money for the charity off the back of it and still do.

Remember this though?

I am an active member of the Coalhouse fort project, working some 50-80 hours a month as a volunteer in various roles as do many other people. Every penny that is made by the project on open days, paranormal investigations, location hire from TV companies and kind donations is all put in to the fort restoration fund. I dont think anyone comprehends the cost involved in restoring this wonderful building. Just a small section of roof that is in desperate need of repair will cost more than that of the average 3 bed house! Raising the money is far easier than getting through the red tape and regulations thats involved in everything that is done at the fort! Yet still we plod on.....

then you should look into what happend to the money you got from living tv for Most Haunted. This was not spent on the fort.

Volunteer & Fort Chair you do great work, but you do need to find out where the money from most haunted has gone.

Look at the dates.

I'm not really bothered that MH took so long to pay, just the peoples opinions that think we had wasted it and not restored the fort off the back of it. As if would make any difference anyway?

Warner Bros paid us to film Batman Begins at the fort but people don't realise that it cost us two thirds of the money they paid us to put the fort back to how it was before they wrecked everything.

Production companies don't give a t*ss.

I'd have a guess that MH would pay about £500 per night to use a location.

Am I hot or cold?

Well, if you consider then it was a two night event, then your not far off.

I was expecting £300

Of course the fort is now saved and we can all go home.

Funny the way that poeple assume that a TV connection brings in wads of money.

They like any business pay as little as they can.
