i have not been able to meditate for ages........nothing 'works.'.......
when i started i used to get answers..now nothing..........
then suddenly 2 days ago i was in bed( i have flu.yes really) and in my minds eye i 'saw' the bodies of snakes..........
i sat up and could feel the energy of a 3 headed snake appear above my head!
years ago i used to get egyptian type snakes with a similar feel.like on the ancient crowns- i think they were called ureas?
anyway...........a long time ago i used to do shamanic journeying...my companion?
a very large snake.......
any thoughts?

Snakes are revered in occult terms. the old serpent of wisdom~ nechustan (think) , the original tempter.
the spine is co,mprised of 33 vertebrae, a very powerful number in occultism.freemasonry.
The Kundalini is believed to uncoil and rise via the spine to the croiwn chakra thus connecting with the universal spirit/conscioussness.
This is common in most ancient cultures, from Mayans to pre Hindi, to egyptian, it's our oldest common image.
Perhaps on autopsies the ancients believed a serpent actuallly resided in the body as the spine.
Also, the serpent and snake is commonly symbollically related to the phallus. hence again, Eve being tempted by the snake and next thing you know she's up the duff...having bitten the apple? yeah right, it's an old folk analogy.
