I seem to have a recuring event of myself or Mel waking up in the night and the clock is 3.33am.
It's happened several times now.
Yes, we do live near a train track but trains pass by all through the night and now we don't notice them.
In Will Storrs book there is a reference made to this time as being the most likely time for paranormal activity, or between 3-4am.

Anyone heard of this before?

I worked in a holiday camp when I was a young man and shared a room with a man called Alfie.
Alfie was an alcoholic and was always drunk. Some evenings he would pass out on his bed.

Thing is that Alfie was a knocker up. He was trusted by all of the management to get them out of bed at what ever time they wanted from four in the morning onwards.

He had the amazing ability to set any time in his head and wake up. He earned his drink money by doing this every morning without an alarm clock.

Is it possible that one the first occasion that you woke up at 3.33 the time, because it was out of the ordinary. somehow stuck in your mind and it triggered of your own built in alarm system.

When I set my alarm at home I always wake up ten minutes before it goes off.

This is only a maybe but it does happen.

I really don't know, It's strange that it's effecting both myself and Mel though.

We have loads of stuff happen where we live know but none of it really bothers us.

If it helps, I always used to see 11.11 when I went to bed.

Try the time on your alarm clock by 10 minutes, and see if you still see 3.33.....just interested,

I get the 11:11 from time to time too Meiah..I don't really think my life has changed in any different way than it would normally.  I see the 11:11 in the morning or the evening.

About the between 3 - 4 am, I get that too from time to time and I also heard that it has to do with Paranormal Activity, but when I wake up and can't go back to sleep, I don't see anything happening.  Eventually I do drift off back to sleep only to feel exhausted when its time to get up!!

i see 3.33am on a daily basis, it's near enough the time my brain descides it's time for sleep, no matter how much sleep i get before, it's 3.33am lights out in hotel waffle. BUT looking at 3.33am thru the eyes of a Voodoo, apparently 333 is the sign of the devils son, the Devil of course supposing to be 666. or it could just be youir brain trying to tell you that maybe doing things in Three Hundred and Thirty Three, might just lead to a few things......

Seem to remember that 3-4am is the time when our natural levels of steroids are at their lowest. That probably has nothing to do with anything. Brain a tad random this morning (whoops, afternoon   )

Not every night but at least 2-3 a week. That being just me not Mel.
I've worked out that large amounts of whiskey tends to counter act it.

It's still happening.
And strange that the time on the clock has been slightly adjusted several times this year and still i wake up and it's 3.33am on the button. Never 3.32 or 3.34am.

Mel keeps seeing me standing at the bottom of the bed when she wakes up in the night too. Well she assumes it's me until she realizes i'm lying next to her.

Sounds a bit like a doppleganger.

I can't comment on the 3:33am thing because I have sleep apnea so I wake up every half an hour or so anyway.

I tell you one odd thing though, be it morning or evening I look at the clock and more often than not I see 8:08 more than any other time.

A sceptic would say this all coincidence. Maybe.

Maybe 3:33 was the time of your birth Kas, or maybe it will be the time of your death...

I've read this book too - I thought it was brilliant.

I've heard that the hour of 3am is meant to be a strange time as well.  If you run a search on google , other people seem to report similar experiences (I googled "3am paranormal").

3 o clock in the morning is the opposite of three in the afternoon? when jesus was alledgedly killed
At 3 in the morning, then, anti-christian demons begin to party? I think this was from the film emily rose or an american haunting, something or other...... a quick google confirms it as being emily rose.......
strange because i've had this three o clock thing as well. I guess we sleep and dream in cycles and this point is when we dream and most likely to wake up. I suppose being sleepy and suggestive we are sensitive to paranormal events, rather than paranormal events being predominant at this time.

Perhaps the 'veil' really is thinner at 3am then.

I often wake up in the night too - unfortunately, I couldn't tell you what time it is because I'm too shortsighted to see the clock.  I'll make an effort to check the clock next time.  Be interesting to see.

That's because everyone's knackered and hasn't got the energy for another Ouija board.

Or perhaps that was just the evening I went on before you took over...

Do you remember that Kieron - I still have a chuckle over that evening even now.  It wasn't so much an organised  event as a scrum for EMF meters and coffee.

Would love you to attend one of mine to see how it's changed. Gives me so much pride. I have so much good feedback and people learn stuff and go away educated and happy in many ways.

Are women allowed to use the ladies toilets during the breaks now or do we still share with the gents and walk in on them while they're lined up at the urinals in the dark because security won't turn the lights on?

Oh, I kid ye not, that is how it was that night, long ago...

I only wish I'd had a bigger torch.

I think I read somewhere once that 3am is the time when people are at their lowest both physically and mentally.
It's about the time you enter your deepest sleep.

I tell you what Kas, and I'm being serious here, if I were you I'd go to your GP with a view for a sleep apnea test.
I have sleep apnea and it's a condition where you wake up just before you go into deep sleep because you stop breathing.
It can be a very serious condition because it puts amazing stress on your heart.
Have it looked at, seriously, it could be the reason you're waking up at the same time every night.

Anyone ever read "Will Storr V's the Supernatural"?

It's a great book. Page 19, Found this...

Quote:
One afternoon, I got a panicked phone call from somebody who knew somebody who knew somebody I knew. She wanted to know exactly what Lou had told me about the number three. She said that she and her father used to wake up at the same time every night. It had become a running joke in the family. Neither of them knew what it was that interrupted their sleep at 3.33am every morning, but now, after hearing my story, she was frightened.

Seems i'm not the only one.
