Nice offer, Raymond, and thanks for it, much appreciated, but I'd die in a city - it'd be like going to another planet.  All those buildings, all those people, different culture, more crime, noise, traffic and concrete.  And I can't live away from the sea.  The 5 years I once lived inland, I've never been so homesick.  And of course, there's always hubby to think of - all his friends and his job are here, and at 62 I don't think he'd want to uproot any more now, and neither would I.

But thanks again for the offer, mate.

Now that would be an experience I wouldn't miss for the world!

Might be a bit rusty, though..................

Mabon is the pagan religious festival of the Autumn Equinox. Night and Day are at perfect balance on this day (the only other time that happens is at the Spring Equinox).

Pagan celebrations at this time are usually to do with the harvest.

oh right. so pagans do the harvest festival like the christians do as well? There was a big harvest festival in our local church the other week. So is it a christian thing or a pagan thing?

Both. Celebrating the harvest is so obviously pagan but it's just one more thing the church stole to help convert all the ignorant pagans back in the day.

Bitchcraft...love it.

I call it a black handled knife cause i'm english..... I jest.

Deosil or widdershins tis a pass that is true
for by dance the avenues of sun or the moon
and of that sacred circle to open or to closed
the ancients as a church should be open always, to grow.

Banishing rituals? what's that then?
bring it on, bring it in and let 'heaven' and its legions in.

As for samhain... I call it midway between the equinox and solstice, the path between...etc
