i've always wanted  a family. even before i knew i was gay and had girlfriends i always said i want a big family. i dont see why that should have to change just because i'm gay. i earn good money, pay my tax, don't break the law and try to be helpful to people. why should that mean i shouldn't have something that straight people take for granted just because i'm gay?

I think that the question is this.

Do you intend to adopt or father children yourself?

to be honest i havent really thought that far ahead yet. of course i would like to have my own children but for obvious reasons that may not be possible. my best friend said that if she isnt married by the time she's 35 she'll carry my child for me. i doubt that will happen though. i suppose it depends on how much money i earn as i get older. i will not even think about having kids until i can pay for them and support them well. also, i won't be thinking about it until i'm in a very stable relationship. one thing i do think is important is for kids to have two parents. it's too much of a big job for one person anyway. it wont be something i will just do. it will be something thats very well planned and controlled and any kids that come out of it will be loved and cherished by me and my family. most kids today should be so lucky

Well that's something we're NEVER going to find out. I am absolutely determined that I will NEVER, EVER burden myself or throw my life away on having little brats around me. EVER.

But Raymond, if you had kids in your image, you'd never be alone in the world again, and you'd all have so much fun!

I wouldn't be alone Waff because I'd be in prison because I would end up killing them.

Why anybody with an ounce of sensibility would want to have those whining, screaming, ungrateful little f*ckers around them 24/7 is quite beyond my level of reasoning.

they'd only be ungrateful if you breed them to be, pedigree is what it's all about mate, you raise your kids to be brats, they'll be brat, raise them well, they'll be good kids, personally, cant wait to have a son i can take to the football when he's 16, never gunna happen cos i don't have the necessary equipment to produce sperm, but still, be nice

the thing about life is you never know when or if you are going to become single... so if you want children you really have to be prepared to raise them on your own :)

I agree with you EG on that one.

I happen to disagree with gays having children anyway, either single or in a relationship.

Simple. Either one has to give in or they should seperate.

It is a big thing for a lot of couples (gay or straight).

There's still this out-dated notion in society that people aren't 'whole' unless they've spat out a few kids, and unfortunately it's starting to creep into the gay community.

Some people just do not want kids. Why should anybody be made to feel in any way 'incomplete' unless they've bred?

Why should it be considered wrong if a person chooses not to have children?

no one can make you feel anything ...

I don't think there is anything wrong with not having children...

oo can just imagine my life without my 3 guys...   living it up, all the money to me, traveling the world over no fixed address lol    hmm doesn't sound too different really and this way I get lots of hugs n love and spat and pushes.. hahah

Well at least you can see the benefits of not having children, and some of us want to keep those benefits.

Hugs and kisses? That's not high on my list of important things anyway.

I'm not 'anti-children'. If other people feel the need to breed then that's fine.
Just as long as I don't have to pay for them and just as long as they keep them away from me there's no problem.

Like I said above, we would have to either seperate or one of us would have to give in.

And guess who'd be the one who wouldn't give in?
