They need to keep us finding new ways of killing each other, if we didn't, we'd run out of food. Simple really.

This is why I find it so mind-numbingly boring when people come on here and start flapping their arms about some new conspiracy they've discovered about governments trying to kill us off or find new ways to keep the numbers down.

Of course they're killing people all the time, of course they're implementing new ways for people to die off!!!
They have to because not only would we run out of food we'd also run out of land and disease would be rampant.
It's basic numbers. There is only a certain number of people this world can support at any given time. When those numbers get too large they have to bring them back down.
Why is that so difficult for people to understand?
Since 1950, the worlds population has incresed by a third, (So talking a good 2 billion people here) the only successful way to sustain this rate of growth is to insure that in the next 50 years, we collonise the moon, or create underwater cities, even if the rate of growth continues and or rises in 350 years, the general poppulation will live in 2 foot by 2 foot boxes
