Despite everything that's said, eastenders are very tolerant and accomodating people. They've had to be for a long time.
Falseness isn't tolerated very well and neither is unwillingness to fit in.
Whenever I hear of racial tension in the eastend it's almost always over people who refuse to fit in or - the ultimate sin - people from outside who try to change the way things have always been done.
