I have no doubt that every day people see unidentified flying objects.

I have no doubt there are forms of life on other planets.

It is entirely plausable that alien life could be way more advanced than us, or they could still be a pile of mucous in a stinking swamp.

To believe that an advanced race, capable of travelling the huge distances of space, would choose to visit our little planet is just about plausable aswell as I'm guessing any life form as vain as us would want to gloat at being more clever.

To think that these advanced people would choose to visit us by independantly flying here in little saucers/cigars/whatever with little flashing lights etc and fly around in our atmosphere is just ridiculous.

My main objection to aliens/ufos is that any persons clever enough to get here from such a distance that we haven't detected them, AND they got here undetected... Why oh why oh why would they then choose to hover over Swindon for 15seconds then disappear?????

Plus the "the government knows but is keeping it a secret" line is just absurd. There are many many people, myself included who have telescopes and regularly look into the sky. Someone would have seen something indesputable. Lots of people would see anything that was really out there. Someone inthe government/military WOULD have come forward with some kind of info.

I just find it all a little too far fetched.

:) so there we go. That's my view.

Who agrees? or... prove me wrong

If I were a fish under the sea and suddenly I saw a submarine and then divers emerging from that submarine what would I make of it.

We are the fish in this instance.

As a fish I might just wonder why air breathing entities bothered developing technology to allow them into a totally alien environment.

I might wonder why they stopped over a coral reef and then just swam of.  What is the point I might ask myself.

Thing is that you cannot judge alien activity by your own.

You are not an alien.

Prove me wrong is a device picked up from the Bad Psychics forum.

I know if you were a fish, the last thing you would think of is fire...

Pecisely Bravo.

A fish would not know what fire was any more than we would recognise something that we had no conception of.

I think the East End wand waver is begining to come around to my way of thinking.

Notice no names.

Subtle or what

I would need to discover what 'your way of thinking' is first.

Come to think of it, so would you.

Well actually I haven't a clue what my way of thinking is so you are dead right there.

Now you have distracted me from the main thrust of my case which is.....er...

Oh bugger......

Tesco is a huge supermarket chain.

It's founder began as a market trader and when he opened his first store he named it after his wife, Tessa or Tessie Cohen.

Coincidentally I sell doormats and I named the after my wife Magi

I retail them under the name Magimat.

Goggle it and you will see them.

She was not best pleased.

I bet she was over the moon about that.

Being immortalised forever with something people wipe their feet on.

Still, I imagine living with Hobbs one soon has to get used to that.

Well if it sells everything then we don't' have anything like that.. usually food stores and other stores are separate here..   and alcohol is separate again

we have Woolworth and Coles as our two largest supermarkets and they do sell some other things like socks and underwear but really nothing I would ever buy from them ....

Then there is Big W and K-Mart that sell just about everything but food (and alcohol)  and they are also pretty cheap (material wise I mean) and I never go their either

People who think that hanging corks from their hats is a good look have to have something very wrong with them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favour of international relations but frankly I think we should cut Australia out of the empire and set them adrift.

ahahah yes I shop but I hate it ..  :)   have there of the best dressed kids around probably... buy quality not quantity I say

i shop at a green grocer (called a fruit and vegetable store here) and I shop at a fish shop )called the dish shop) and for milk I shop at he Germany store Auldi ( which sells 98% local produce)       and blah blah

I buy local if I can in other words I avoid cheap and nasty things- which generally means I am out of fashion but you know I a Leo so its class all the way from me     Big Grin

isn't that the most stupid thing to have as an internationally recognised icon

I've only ever seen them on the movies and in tourist shops on Stuffed Koalas and Kangaroos

But then I guess if you visited Raymond you would cope with the flies here no problem...   the really are terrible and people swallow them all the time ha which is where the idea for that hat came from.. and I am sure it was a British fellow that invented it

I'm surprised you know what water is.

It's something we use south of the border for drinking and washing with.

Y'know?  Washing.
