where are you going ....may i ask where do you see yourself going in this lifetime ?
do you set goals?
do you feel you are doing what you want in life to do with this "paranormal" interest we have

My goals are to be self sufficient financially ( I hate being answerable ), to advance the old religion in whatever way I can and just be happy and enjoy everything I do.

My only goal is to seek. Not sure what for yet, but am seeking like crazy anyway. It broadens my view, challenges my preconceptions, excites me and motivates me.

My goal is to have no goals.
It doesn't work though.

I'm not very good at setting goals...
I tend to just go with the flow very much in my life..
i like to be in charge of me and setting goals too far ahead can really interrupt the flow of my life.. they can sometimes make me feel as though I am chasing my tail which generally tells me that direction is not good for me
so goals in the paranormal world - i don't' understand that as there really is no difference is there?

Goinmg with the flow. Surfing the celestial paths in all their possibilities.
no goals at all.
Just watching the world with cynical eyes and lots and lots of pity.
I told that God bloke it would all go wrong. Should have laid a wager.

Not sure we should comment on these, but hey, I feel the need. I don't pity the world. No different to a child learning about itself. It makes mistakes, it gets hurt, it bounces back. But then, that not the world, its the people on it. Different thing. Shut up, Meiah.

No don't shut up Meiah, you speak a lot of sense.
People who say things like 'I pity the world' instantly seperate themselves from the rest of us and therefore think themselves in some way 'higher' or 'better' than the rest of us.
In my experience people who appoint themselves 'higher' or 'better' than the rest of us usually live with their heads up their arses.

I'm just not material. That's all. The quest for desire brings despair? and all that ? Nothing to do with ego, perhaps the opposite in fact.

How can you not be material? You are a material being. You need material objects to live and survive.
Food, clothing, a roof, a blanket at night - very basic needs but all essential if you wish to continue the human experience.
All material items as well.

Yes. needs and wants eh?
Watch "into the wild" film, that's a film I understand

I'll look it up when I find my Blockbusters card.
But even you went and lived wild in the woods you would still need material objects.
I hear these new agey people say things like "I'm a spirit trapped in a body" - what utter bollocks!
We are all material, physical beings and we all need 'stuff' aroound us to ensure our survival.

I can live with that.
No seriously, I really do get peed off with the whole 'Raymondo' thing, not for any other reason than it's one of those things that everytime somebody says it they think they're the first person that's ever said it.
I work with this annoying little four-foot-nothing bloke who insists on calling me Raymondus because he says I remind him of a Raymondus (wtf???) which is fine with me so long as I get to call him John Thomas because he reminds me of a knob.

Could be worse, my boss didn't know how to pronounce my name (me-a), and so used to sound like he was sneering or vomiting whenever he spoke to me)
