Thoughts, dreams and things

When you think, or read you hear voice in your head. Where is it?

Where are the pictures projected to and from in dreams.

When you dream of someone else, do they speak in your voice or theirs, what I mean is, is it emanated from them or you mimicking them. I had a dream last night and I was consciouslly aware that although everyone spoke, in essence they all sounded like me and wondered if that wa sthe case all the time but I hadn't previously been aware of it?
Bravo

I don't think it's the case all the time.  When I hear voices I definitely hear them in the voice of the originator.  Interesting question you pose about where they are though, haven't a clue
Hunter

I agree with Bravo.
Sometimes when I hear voices I know in fact they are just mental impressions of voices.
As regards dreams I'd have to say the pictures come from YOUR brain !
Raymond

Hunter, when you dream do the characters speak in English or French, also, which language do you think in?

Haha, interesting. dogs dream because my old dog used to think she was running in the park as her legs used to kick about.

Do dogs hear dog language or English?

As I sit and think I hear nothing.

In order to hear you need auditory input and that is not the case with thinking.

So I suspect Sam that your question was to promote thought on the nature of this.  Speech and listening without the physical means to produce sound or indeed to hear sound.

This in itself is a fascinating thing.  We do NOT hear the VOICE of other people as we understand hearing.  Yet on one level we do have the impression of hearing.

So what is that level and how can a silent voice be heard?

What indeed is thought itself.

If thought and vision can be accessed without the physical organs required to do so in the normal way then here we have a whole new dimension and field of reality perhaps.

There are two things here....in my head at least.

When I consciously think, I form words to form the thought. Without the words, the thought is unformed, and yet it is still there.
The words make it real.

When I do not consciously think, i have awareness, but when i am consciously aware, I form words to fit what i am aware of.
I am warm, but until I turned my consciousness to that, I was aware of it, but did not choose to act on it.

So then from thought (the unmanifest)  To speech (manifest)

This highlights what we are spiritualy and physicaly.

The reason for our being as far as I am concerned.

We make the unmanifest a reality through this thing that we call I.

Real to the I, anyway.
Raymond

All I want to know is does Hunter dream in French.

So what about when you hear other peoples thoughts.....  my take on it is limited I think that its all about vibration and perhaps that thoughts have vibrations thus we can hear them with our ears...

Meiah/ David ... have you never experienced anything new in your life..???
I for one have I have experienced things I had never thought of never heard about and never conceived existed.... they were not in my reality thus I had no perception of them.. so where did/do they come from?

I can honestly say that (at least in my memory) I have not experienced anything that I didn't already have some kind of experience of.
I have come across things that make no sense to me, or that I do not recognise or understand, but for each of those, I experienced it in a way that I have experienced things before, even if it is purely at the level of the senses.

Have you ever experienced something that you cannot verbalise? I don't mean "explain", I mean verbalise?

If so, tell me about it?
evergreen

yes most definitely.......   have had a  number of experiences I have not been able to find the words to really describe .. certainly didn't' have the name to label what was occurring..
meiah

How then did you recognise that something was happenning?

Not quite sure what you mean by new.  I have recently experienced new things in the paranormal.  Things that I have heard of but never witnessed for myself.

I hope to witness lots more new things because without newness we die.  Or might just as well be dead.

I was seeing it... or whatever....

when I say new I mean something you have never heard of before not had a clue about ....   have you experienced something like that ?
david hobbs

Yes I have.  Quite a few times.

Makes life worth living.

First sexual and spiritual experiences are the best.
meiah

I too have experienced new things.

The point I was trying to make is that unless you have a point of reference, to my mind, you would not reconginse it, in order to bring it into your reality.

That is correct as with, let's say Elementals.

I deal with them but I realise that I am only dealing with something that I have put an identity too from past experiences.

In reality it might just be that they are something completely different and that I tag them in such a way that my thinking mind can deal with them.

In fact I know that is what we all do.
