The Walthamstow Poltergeist case 15/10/2007Having received a telephone call from a family in London regarding disturbances at their maisonette, Anne Ian and myself arranged to visit them on the night of the 15th October.
We arrived at around eight thirty and met the family of three, mother father and 22 year old son. After the usual round of questions and exploration of the property we settled in for a chat over coffee whilst getting a feel for the home and listening to the problems that the family had been experiencing.
Dad was a sceptic but even he decided that they needed some help after an incident a few weeks earlier. Having returned home from work he was saying hello to his wife in the kitchen when a large wooden spoon that she had been using flew across the room and crashed into the wall leaving a spaghetti bolognaise design where it had hit. Before this event there had been a whole catalogue of disturbances. One evening sitting on the settee watching TV the settee started to vibrate. It reached a pitch that the lady of the house likened to sitting on a Harley Davison motorcycle at full speed. This became a regular event, They had also experienced very loud whispering and being touched by some invisible entity.
Events took a turn for the worse when the son and mother had experienced a loud scratching on the doors of the room they had been in on separate, and frequent occasions. The son told me that his bedroom door would open with a bang on occasion, all the more odd as he had recently painted it and it was quite difficult to open due to the extra coating of paint. There were many more events over the years and it had recently reached the stage where odd things were happening every day and night.
The family were becoming desperate and had called in the head of the local spiritualist church. He arrived and spent an hour telling them his life story. The he told the wife that she needed to close herself down asked for £20 expenses and left without further explanation.
Next up was the local Anglican vicar. He suggested that if they converted to the Anglican faith that perhaps he might be able to help them. There were others but none were able to be of any help. Needless to say they were not impressed with the responses that they had received and so through a friend they decided to contact GHE.
It is my way with these cases to spend a lot of time just chatting about anything at all in order to gain an insight into the nature of the problem and more importantly the character of the families involved. True to form it turned out that the mother had been experiencing paranormal events for most of her life but had dismissed them until now. With the increase in paranormal activity she and her husband had decided that enough was enough.
I decided that a little instruction on self help and taking control instead of being used and abused was the way forward so I ran the family through a simple meditation technique in order to let them deal with whatever the problem was. I am a firm believer in making people responsible for their own lives unless of course things become totally out of hand and there is no choice other than to use “brute force” to resolve the problem. She was a natural as I knew she would be and soon had contact with a man who gave his name to her. Having also shown her how to open and close I could see that she was finally beginning to realise that the events were happening for a reason and that she would learn about herself and the world about her if she took what was on the face of it a series of terrifying events and gained understanding and strength from them.
Obviously there is a lot more to this story but I think that you have a fair idea from what I have written on what happened and how I like to deal with this type of case. If you do everything for someone they have learned nothing if they do it themselves the strength that they gain is ongoing and hopefully can be used to help others that they meet in life. Most of all they begin to understand their own true selves an for me that is reward enough for late nights and travelling about the countryside when I could be tucked up in bed. I have over the years and many cases, begun to form a picture of the nature of poltergeist activity and to understand what is really happening. It is not what it appears on the surface but in matters of occult that is often the way.
David.
P.S. I hope that Anne and Ian’s report follow soon.

I always contact people after a few days to see how things are progressing.
I will let you know the outcome.
God poltergeists is just the best for me.
It highlights both the dark insecure side of the human species and also the highest as far as I am concerned.
We all have our own private poltergeist. We just need to recognise and overcome it.

It sounds like a job well done to me. We'll see in a couple of days though!
Why can't I have poltergeist activity?!!!

Well done David,Anne and Ian.. A job well done by the sounds of things. Totally agree with the idea of getting people to help themselves and in doing so learning a valuable life lesson and a little more about themselves.

I don't know if we will return to the family yet. I would like to work a little more with them. I think that they could gain a lot of understanding.
I suppose understanding is what we are all looking for.

It's a return match.
I called the family today and things are kicking off.
It looks as though we may have to do a more comprehensive job this time.
As you know we gave the family some instructions to follow and apparently they have been very busy and not able to have a real go at it.
Perhaps I expected to much of them or perhaps this entity is more determined than most. Perhaps I am becoming lazy.
Monday we shall re-trace our steps and head for London.
Wish we had a video that worked.

Thanks for wrting that up David.. I was wondering what had happened.. You know that I think sometimes people while they say they dont' like the activity they do in some way... so they dont' follow through with what you have suggested.. they will though, this woman is obviously a medium and she will be the one to work it out... Something about the father tells makes me feel he is still not fully convinced... it is as thoguh he feels the wife couldn't be that.... there is more to deal with than just the poltergeist, as you know..
It isnt' about you and you being lazy David you did a great job... it is up to them as you said they need to take responsibility to make the necessary changes in themselves...
I know you'll keep us updated.. I hope you get the video camera :)
