the point of it all?so just what is the point of existence?
it is a question that seems to have no answer.
others have also raised the question.,
what does god or the universe want of us?
do we have free will?nobody wants to be a slave yet in the bhagavad gita krishna tells arjuna that we are all in bondage......
the following is on a cd i bought recently........
Walking in the snowy street
Let me understand
Drifting down a silent park
Stumbling over land
Open up your heart to me
Show me who you are
And I would be your slave
Do you sleep in quietude?
Do you walk in peace?
Do you laugh out loud at me?
No one else is free
Open up your heart to me
Show me all you are
And I would be your slave
I don't sit around and wait
I don't give a damn
I don't see the point at all
No footprints in the sand
I bet you laugh out loud at me
A chance to strike me down
Give me peace of mind at last
Show me all you are
Open up your heart to me
And I would be your slave
I don't sit and wait
I don't give a damn
I don't see the point at all
No footprints in the sand
I would give you all my love
Nothing else is free
Open up your heart to me
And I would be your slave
sums up a lot of my own thoughts...........

Have a prize for the best answer ever on this forum.
OK so it's not a physical prize but as you will appreciate we operate on a very tight budget.

I wonder if seeking is worth the effort as it seems to me that seekers always seek.
How would it work if we got out of bed each day and waited to see what came our way whilst doing the things that we have to do. The thing is of course you need the eyes to notice what comes your way and the will to do something with it.

Make sure you remember not to trip over the stone in front of you as you walk towards the mountain ;)
Hey and take a look at the view where you are at now, and appreciate it, suck in the air, isn't it wonderful?

I don't sit and wait
I don't give a damn
so it seems he gave up too.........
i gave up because the quickening is just ANOTHER system......a DISTRACTION.........if you look at kabbalah the universe came from ain soph......nothing...
so there is noboby to become enlightened.there is nothing to stop any of us attaining it except our beliefs........which block us from the void.

But isn't that part of the answer? If our beliefs get in the way, then we need to understand what our beliefs actually are in order to challenge them and let them go?
If we do not know ourselves, how can we know anything else?

And if we truly think that we know our beliefs then we are fooling ourselves.

To experience life within the physical realm and all it has to offer, to see from as many perspectives as I can within my life time, to live each day determining how I live my life through the choices I make, believing that there is no right or wrong only choice. :D

If there is only choice and no right or wrong there is no need to have law or religion or anything at all.
We make our choices based on conditioning I feel. Comfort comes into it as well. Feeling that we have "done the right thing".
If I could see things from the others point of view then that would be a good thing. How about if I could see myself from the others point of view?
Could go on forever with this one.

I often try to see myself from anothers view point... but in the end it doesn't seem to matter, as that is judging me, and that is pointless I just need to be me and please me not anyone else...
a little kid said this to me once when I showed concern towards him.. "you worry about your own stinking problems Miss.." he taught me heaps :D
I also know that working on me/the self is working on the collective so that is my role.. no mad search, out there forever seeking.. I go inwards and work on me an thus the search is ended and life can just be
but of course I find I have to constantly remind myself to do this as I am conditioned to forever seek and constantly attempt to help others

We live in a society based around laws, rules and regulations ,these are parameters for us to work within a man made fourth dimensional realm. As a species we are not evolved enough to live without them at this point in time, we think that we are individuals and separate from every person and everything else around us.
If you can believe that you are not separate from anything but rather part of everything within the universe then life takes on a new meaning, becoming part of the all. At one with all things. :D
We have been conditioned through out our lives, to make the right choice, for me this means the right choice that is acceptable to others and not always for myself.
It does not have to be the easy choice or feel comfortable for it to be the right choice, as I have learned and to be challenged by my choices is to experience, therefore to me that is good as I am becoming more than I was before through experience.
To become 100% responsible for my self and the choices I make every minute of your life is a very enlightening experience in itself for me.
