The JourneyThought I would share one of mine with you all..
"THE JOURNEY"
On the day I was born
My journey started by chance
Each day that I lived
I saw my journey advance,
As I ambled my way
Through each passing phase
With no itinerary to follow
I clocked up miles and days
As I traveled the miles
Scarred by lifes blisters and pains
That were then healed by knowledge
And personal gaines,
I travelled through life
With my fear, apprehension
Then caught a lift from compassion
That released all my tension
I saw all the obstacles
They were but a test
They all kept me moving
and brought out my best,
Then the end of my journey
loomed closer in sight
Thought of the pathways I'd followed
Were they wrong, were they right?
Each path was a lesson
Was a test of my being
Each path kept me going
Kept me living and breathing
Content with my journey
I would not turn around
I was happy with life
And all I had found
Had enjoyed every mile
Though full of hardship and stress
My spirit was satisfied
Would not have settled for less
So happy in the knowledge
Id done all I could do
Moved on to the next life
Will travel there too.
