For me, the ideal forum is one where all those approaches can meet, be discussed openly and honestly without ridicule, and so all can learn from each other.....even if the learning is "that approach is not for me".
The members make the forum, and I think taht often if the aim of the forum is too precise, you will get members that fit that precise remit....and so other views do not fit in...and discussion is limited.
I don't reckon any one has the answers, but I do reckon that everyone has a view, maybe none entirely right and none entirely wrong. Put those views together and you have a more complete picture.
So....a forum where poeple can be honest about their views, and completely open is one where we can actually get somewhere.
Sadly, that sort of forum may well be repellent to those who are not open enough to consider other alternatives, and so their views will be lost, and those views are important too.
