The defining momentI know that reality is only as real as the perceiver perceives, but if you could choose one defining moment when you realised that the paranormal is not all imagination, what would it be?
Or perhaps you have a defining moment when you decided that the paranormal is all in the mind.
Either way let us know.

What a good question Mr. Hobbs.
I've always found that the paranormal likes to keep us on our toes. Just when I think it's all bunkum something happens to make me realise it isn't or just when I think it's 100% genuine, something happens to make me think I'm just kidding myself.

Standing in front of a large audience to do my first platform work I informed them I was new to this and did not do dates times names and the like.. then I proceeded to fourth woman in the third row and informed her Joseph her father in law was here to wish her happy birthday for next week the 6th.. and then I roared with laughter and said he obviously enjoyed making me look like a liar...
It was then I truly for the first time fully understood I had absolutely no control and none of this came from me
there have been so many things it is hard to pick

Easy~ Out of the body experiences.
Still not sure if that 'soul' exists when the body dies, that is, if it is an extension of the bodily form. But the fact that it happens and conscioussness operates beyond the body, and can manifest wherever must surely mean it is not dependent upon body? I can't answer that and say that life after death is true-100%. But, the experiences of OOBE proves many things by its experience,
that 'energy' in all things is inherently equal ,differentiated only by its enviroment and therefore subjective response.
That forms of things considered 'dead' appear with the same characteristics as when 'alive' (which I believe answers my life after death paradox)
That objects retain elements of affection towards them
That beyond this realm are other inhabitants who won't let you 'spy' indiscreetly on the living and wether these are guardians or soul guides they exsist but are still not visible.
That Infra Red sight is very very similar to sight in an OOBE.
And lastly and most depressingly I still cannot achieve an OOBE under will

That is exactly how I feel too.
It is as if a cosmic Joker listens to your thoughts and says "try this for size then"

can you see other places exactly as they are though you are in the top corner of the room/space watching what it going on.. is that out of body or just remote viewing???

Well yes. I would say remote viewing is still from the body perspective but then where does conscioussness lie?
All my experiences have been at night in sleep, i wake up and there I am adjusting to the light thinking i'm sleep walking, It does look like Infra Red or a photo negative but I wonder what it'd be like in the daytime?

ah I see for me it is normal viewing I have never done the infrared thing Sam... when I'm out of the house and concerned about something I can quickly remote back and see the scene unfolding if I choose ... I use to do it it there was a baby sitter with the kids

I think the defining moment for me was the night when I took a plug out of the wall and put it on the floor. When I looked again it was back in it's socket.

So we all have our defining moment when the undeniable occurs.
I swing from sceptic to believer with alarming regularity.
Then in a kind of self gratifying way I realise that I probably have more experience in the paranormal than 99.9% of the population.
I look forward to my next defining moment.
