sticky handswhen i did wing chun i use to practise sticky hands i think it was called
this initially required discipline
then there was a stage where i felt i was at one with my body and mind
i remember this well
i feel it was a bit like meditation when ones conscious is initially there and then ones subconscious comes into play and one flows
this is when i found chi flowed
i suppose i was as one
does that make sense

I did this once or twice with a friend and once with a guy with so many dans I lost count. It did seem like a meditation. It had to because I have no knowledge of the arts yet I could feel what he was trying to show me. I was really pissed at being pushed all over the place until I realised that fighting was no good and relaxed. He smashed his nose with his own fist. I can't tell you how bad I felt even though he kept saying that he was fine. Good job he wasn't a violent man.
Martial arts from what I know are akin to Majik and working with energy which I do know something about.
In many ways I feel that martial arts are one of the keys to the inner self.
