Spiritualist Church

I went to a spiritualist church "ooop" north last weeek. with an open mind of course. I found one speaker to be a fisher. the other a charlatan. and one solitary woman sitting on her own minding her own affairs to be one of the most psychically tuned people I've ever met.
So, I went to church to meet and witness a spiritualist in action and found someone. unfortunately they weren't in front of the audience :D
I intend to go a few more.
Anyone know of local Essex churches? i also spend most of my time in West London now so any news over that way would be welcome. :D

Laindon Church is said to be good. I have not been for some time now. Should go really but it usually leaves me feeling dissgruntled.

I tend to think spiritualist churches are for people looking for a church you'll find all catergories of mediums there.. i think it might be important to remember that many are learning that is often why they are there ..

How did you know the quiet observer was the psychic one? just interested

I lived in thundersley, still do but am in west london most of the time now

i am really interested in finding ..and experiencing a spiritualist church.... they are really difficult to track down. i have been looking for quite a while now and finally found out about one locally to me..... however ...after speaking to the "head honcho" i instantly felt that this wasn't the right place for me to go..... i am interested in finding a circle for the experience and ? developement...... but somehow this definetly wasn't the place for me....!   the search continues.... anyone got any advise?

I hope that helps a bit?!  If not, just google spiritualists in the area you want.  A few come up.  I would've put more up for you but I'm not sure what other areas are near you.

thanks for that... hythe is probably the nearest of the two...but still quite a way.... i need to find something either Southampton or Winchester....
  ideally what i need is to find an experienced person wanting to start a new circle .....i think?!!

Join any meditation group until you find a development circle.

i attend a workshop at spiritualist church and do development there as well i personally find the energies there  very calming and my  personal experience so far is that the one i go to is a lovely atymosphere to work with the spirit world ,i hope you find one that suits you

More advice.

Spiritualist Churches vary as much as spiritualists themselves.  To give up after visiting just one makes no sense.  They understand circles and lot's more besides so my advice is keep looking.  It is just a stepping stone.

very true ,i try to look at  the people who are in attendance ,there are good and bad in all places,people never cease to amaze me,i remember when i was a young man.....

for the last two months i have been attending meditation circle at this church..... i have met some interesting people and have attended a workshop there..... i still don't feel this is the right place for circle ...but i have made lots of contacts...and as you said ..it is a stepping stone ... until i find something that feels right!...... am getting there!!!
