soul not reborn??? What??recently a medium when asked why spirits stay to make contact with the living (as in passed over readings) explained it like this... why don't' they get reborn???
SHE SAID
the soul stays behind while the spirit is reborn into another life that is how we can make contact
What do you think..???

I really think the soul and spirit are the same thing, think its guff, but who to knows for sure.

yeah that is what I thought... I dont' think we get reborn straight away anyway...
she said something like the soul is always here to make contact while the spirit moves on to have another life ....
not at all how I see things... but like you said Sia no one knows for sure

Like you Sia, I too thought that the soul and the spirit were the same thing. I read somewhere that we only bring 5% of our soul to earth, leaving the majority of it in spirit, plus other percentages can live in body's elsewhere. Maybe thats why we can go into a past life (or future life) and see it (yourself) as another being (human or otherwise) in another time. If there is NO time, like past, present and future, then it must all be happening at the same time, Gosh, I hope you understand what I'm trying to say???!...bless you if you do!  Anyway, its just a thought Also, I wouldn't have thought it was impossible to be reborn into another body straight away! I think that all things are possible :D .

I dont' fully understand it either.... I have some ideas but they will be always changing I am sure....
I guess I felt it was sad she told this to the audience as the truth... whos truth is it?? well now it appears to be the truth of the 200 people in the audience who take her word as someone who knows these things.. because he is a working medium
she also told them there is nothing bad in the spirit world no bad spirits nothing negative at all..
I am feeling bad right now because I know I am judging her

I read this and on one hand I have an empathy with what she is saying, but as always, I think the wording could be better, or maybe we just don't have the right words.
When you are struggling to explain a concept, words can get in the way, but it is what we mostly use, so we do the best we can.
Perhaps, and just perhaps, the problem is also in the division, the chunking of us into seperate bits, with one bit goes here, and another but goes there.
This is part of the reason why I keep asking about Mind, spirit, soul, consciousness etc etc.
Often these terms seem interchangeable, or rather we all have a different idea of what we mean when we use these terms, and so when someone says something like this lady did, the 20 people in the room will go away with 20 ideas of what happens.
Potentially, all of those 20 different views are correct.
I don't know. I don't know the answer.

They do say that words are more a barrier than a bridge.
I think that anyone who can verbalise an intuitive concept is a very rare animal indeed.
So rare that I doubt that such an animal has ever been seen by mankind.
