I wonder if some places do have a special energy about them Or is it that they are given energy by the people who revere them.

Go to Avebury and look at the tourists walking around. It's just a pile of stones Isn't it.

I was up at West Kennet Long barrow one afternoon and a group of people came along and started chanting into the entrance. What is that?

Do you feel it or don't you feel it. That is the question.

I think that these sites have a certain power of their own which draws people, magnetism almost. The the people who visit "give" thier power to the location.

Does that make sense? It made sense in my head anyway

So it is both the place and the people who visit or use the place.

Well I dont' know about the sites in England I haven't been there since I was a very young child.. but personally I feel energy from different places.. Here in Australia (well in Tassie actually) the last few years I have had a number of experiences with feeling a huge power or increase in energy in certain spots.. I can't say if others feel it as they havent' been "tourist" places I am lucky enough to be informed by the spirits of those places or shown where the energy has come from. Most seem to be sacrad or sacraficial sites from very early aboriginal days. Now I find that frustarating as I can't prove or challenge what I am being given because no one knows anymore as that knowledge is now lost.

I my latest experience was with a special young man who took me to a place he felt was "special"~ he asked me to come with him without telling me anything about what he felt now as soon as I stepped out of the car I was joined by an aboriginal man (spirit form) who began to share the story of the place I was visiting.. All along my friend led me to where he was most interested to take me and all along this aboriginal man allowed the ceremony and history to unfold for me.. the energy felt different in a few places with huge influxes that nearly took my breath. It wasnt' long before my friend realised I was in a deep conversation with a spirit and asked me to not telling him anything until we had completed the journey.. When we reached the peak the energy changed again and there were a great number of spirits there it was an incredible gift to be shown this as I felt none had visted here before and they would really only care to share with those they felt safe with... and it was truely a sacard site for them. I was informed that my friend would live here and that he as welcome he was considered family somehow...

My friend later described what he had felt and it was much the same as me.. he does not have the same abilities as me, although I believe he is very psychic just different so it was very interesting that he should describe this spirit guide in excately the same manner as I was seeing him... it also turned out that my friend was to inherit this place upon the death of his father and was planning on building a house there...

I dont' know if I was reading his energy or that from the earth .. I think the earth was speaking to me passing on information so that perhaps it would not be lost again.. I plan to write it out and give it to my friend so that he can hold it physically.

I have many more stories to share but this is the only one where there was another person involved...
