Shadow peopleThis topic seems to have been posted in various different threads and as far as I am concerned I have lost the plot.Would someone help me out and summarise what we learnt and the perhaps we can move the subject on a little. I am wondering if our American friend has gone because I believe it was him who raised the subject. |

I don't think he's gone and from what he has been saying I don't think he can give a definate answer as to what they are.
He just knows they are and he can work with them, or more accuratly, he can get them to work for him. |

Well that is definitive isn't it.
Working with things he doesn't understand and not knowing quite what they may do. Why not just blindfold yourself and run across the freeway? We talk about things on here sometimes as if they are givens. Well let's see if we might get to the bottom of some of them Like shadow people for instance. |

I don't' know about shadow people.. all I know is that I have seen people that are all black they always have felt very negative to me.. and since this topic has been posted and brought up by you David I have thought about it and realised that many I have seen these so called shadow people around have been suffering bipolar..
now that is a huge statement to make.. its an observation its not something I can say as a written rule... because the other observation with these people is they have all had parents/siblings commit suicide .. what do you think they are David.. to me they are spirits that show themselves as black.. no light nothing .. its not that they are not wearing clothes they are as one I recall had the shadow outlining including a large hat.. and in this sitting he was clearly the sitters father |

It's called a leap of faith. Do any of us really know how anything works? I could explain to you 'my thoughts' on how magick works - for example. I could explain what I know of it - or more accurately, what I think I know, but it would be just my opinion, which means it could be wrong. One thing I do know 'as a given' is that magick works. End of story. The potential to cause myself harm when using magick is always there. There will always be elements of it I will never understand but does that stop me using it? Of coourse not. Do we fully understand how mediumship works? No. Or the Tarot cards, or the Ouija Board or Tea Leaf reading - No. On a more mundane level, how many of you with cars can honestly say you understand every little working piece of your car and know exactly how it all works? Very few I'm sure. Danger is present everywhere. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything until we fully understand things. We'd never get anything done. |

Have encountered this type of phenomena before although i'm not really sure whether I was awake or asleep at the time, was scary though.

old story essentially the nearest thing i can liken it too is sleep paralysis. There was an entity standing at the bottom at the of my bed and what i thought was a very shadowy woman standing right over me on my right side. The most frightening thing was not being able to move the actual shadows? entities? weren't that scary, especially the one to my right.
Still spooky at the time.

If i had any control over myself i probably would have lol. Forgot to add that the whole thing lasted a matter of minutes maybe 5 tops, hard to tell really. |
