First rule with readings
Don't feed the reader.
Second rule
A question is a full stop that must be removed before moving on. It stops any flow that may be about to happen.

Ok my first thought was of your mother but then maybe you just looked up to her a bit like a parent or teacher. She looked out for you and you learnt alot from her.

Blimey
Looks lke Derek has noting to worry about.
When I was new to Spiritualism I visited a church on Canvey Island. As I walked in the service had already started and on the rostrum were two ladies, one giving readings and the other was drawing. I had never seen a psychic artist before. Suddenly the woman stopped drawing and walked the length of the hall toward me and said "this is your Grandmother" handing me the picture you see in the top section of this thread. She turned on her heel and returned to the rostrum and started another drawing.
This picture is unmistakably my Nan and it had been started before I ever reached the hall.
She was a very tough old bird and was often called upon to help with the birthing and would sit with the dying if they had no one in the local community. She used to say that she could see the spirit leave. I thought the old lady was barmy. I found out in my later life that the local people used to come to her to have thier fortunes told.
Believe me they must have had some courage because my Nan would certainly tell you your fortune

It is strange how you can get information before you even met the person.
that is an area I am trying to get a grip on far more as often I mistakenly think I am sick or that I have to do something.... and then someone comes and I realise it is for them not me.. so much to learn
interesting story David. Do these things still surprise you after all of your experiences ..
you grandmother feels like she was a very hard woman not much time for small talk ruled with an iron fist and that is everyone I'd say including her husband also feels like money was very tight

Yes she was a bit of a gypsy but we were never to mention it. Tough as old boots, and I could tell you stories about her to hi light that.
Perhaps another day though
