ReadingsI have had loads of readings.
I wonder if I ever took any notice of any of them.
Do you?

Only the relevant ones - of which there are very few.
Actually, I have the urge to visit a palmist. I have never had my palm read and I really feel I should. Can anybody recommend one?

I have had a two readings one which was my first was very good the other not so great but fun none the less
Did I pay attention? I dont' think there was enough clarity in either to know what to pay attention to.

The only ones I have taken notice of right away are those that have offered an alternative view on me NOW.
There are a few I have looked at again with the benefit of hindsight and found some truth in them.

This is amazing to me.
All the fuss about mediums and all the TV coverage etc etc, and guess what?
Most of us don't take a blind bit of notice!!!
That is what I found when I gave readings on a regular basis.
Nowadays if someone asks they better be ready for what comes.
So tell me. Are readings doing any good at all?
Why do people go for them?

It all depends on who's doing the reading. There has to be an element of showmanship in a reading, you have to engage the person or people you are reading for.
I've had some readings where it's all I can do to stay awake never mind pay attention.
I always try to make my readings have a 'chatty' atmosphere, like two old friends having a chinwag over a cup of tea.
You'd be amazed at how many people come to see me and think they have to be deathly silent and sit stock still.
I prefer them to talk and ask questions, that way I end up doing a good reading for a real person rather than a so-so reading for a piece of wood.

I often wonder why people who have the dullest lives ever go for a reading.
As the reader you struggle to find something to say them.
Anyway I just tell the dull ladies that they are going to grow a penis and that usually livens them up.

I wish I was a woman sometimes.
No I mean it.
I just wish I had the sensitivity not to want to shake some of the people by the neck who I have read for over the years.
Their problems are so often self inflicted but they often times seek the reason, why? because they are blind to their own short comings as indeed am I.
When you explain in a reading that perhaps things might happen for the sitter if they just got up off of their fat behinds and did something about their lives they tend not to come again.
A woman would perhaps explain these things a little more diplomatically

I usually ask them what are they waiting for? - we are all afteral in charge of our own destiny
I am guilty of this myself so I do understand it can be difficult to get up and give things a real go

Do any of you here use the Tarot? I ask because every reading (about 3) in my life have never said anything that was ever true or that came true. I had one woman refuse to tell me what she saw in my cards! She never charged me but I wanted to know anything whther the news was good oir bad.... Sheesh
So, who reads Tarot? Fancy doing a reading for me?

Raymond

I have a set I've had for over twenty years, though I have no 'skill' in the reading of them.

Bet you've never had a teacher.
You can read them according to the rule book, and anyone can do that.
Then of course you can read them intuitively.
It doesn't matter what method you use they work very well.
Oh sorry I have several packs which i use for the odd reading.
They are a great tool for reading to people who do not believe in much at all. They don't believe you, but they believe the cards.

yes I have several packs too I use them now and then in readings though I use them intuitively ....
Hmm David we could have a section on here for cards reading I wouldn't' mind doing that now and then again... I'm just finding I'm rushing from one thing to the next and of course not doing much well at anything right now
