Nazi Occultism

I have heard and read that the German Nazi's were in to the occult.

Anyone know anything about this.

Did they really carry out occult practises or is that just propaganda?

Quite a lot of matrial on this, the occult roots of nazism was a good book http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Occult_Roots_of_Nazism , also there was a series on history channel about nazis and the occult. The spear of destiny supposedly was being looked for by Goebbels secret army etc.

Dennis Wheatly wrote a couple of books on it didn't he?  "They Used Dark Forces".  Apparently Wheatly had quite an insight into what went on.

Maybe there is some truth to it but I also think a lot of it was part of the church's plan.

While the world was busy turning Hitler into a monster the church must have encouraged the idea that he was into the occult to get the message out that 'this kind of man' practices the occult.

What do you base that on Raymond?

Hitler was said to consult his astrologer before making any major decisions.  When he invaded Poland, the stars were favourable, for Russia they were not, but his generals convinced him otherwise.

Knowing how the church works, especially the catholics. They were quite happy to turn a blind eye when the Jews were being slaughtered but as soon as it started looking like Hitler was on the back foot they were quick to demonise him.

Churches are big business and like any big business you go where the action and the winner is.

The big money funded both sides in the second world war and the church waited to see who's side God was on.

I suppose if you live in Italy and you have Mussolini breathing down your neck then Pope or not you look out for number one.

I was always led to believe that they tried to convince him not to attack russia, well at least not at that time anyway. Do you have any evidence?

Has anybody ever heard the story of how (allegedly) the New Forest witches, including Gerald Gardner himself, organised a huge meeting were a spellworking was used to stop the Nazi invasion of Britain?
david hobbs

No but the Golden Dawn certainly did.
Raymond

Yes I've heard stories about the Golden Dawn.

As well as that though teh New Forest coven (which, apparently is still in operation today, so I'm led to believe) performed a huge spellworking to stop Hitler from invading British shores.

Gerald Gardner himself was said to be at the working and at least 2 of it's members died before the night was out, such was the power of the energy they were working with.

Of course, it's just a story passed around amoung devotees of Dr. Gardner. Who knows if it's true?

But I'm willing to bet there were plenty of covens up and down the land at that time who worked to stop Hitler invading.
It's certainly feasable.
laura

there must have been!!....... otherwise bed knobs and boomsticks wouldn't be true!!!!
Raymond

Laura, you have to go and spoil yourself don't you?
david hobbs

I would say that anyone with any form of ability and skill would have been using their occult abilities against the enemy, you can take it as read.

I certainly would contribute i as best as I could.

Members of the Golden Dawn when serving abroad are said to have Astrally travelled to Glastonbury Tor to meet up and perform their workins.

Time and distance meant nothing to them.
