My lovely day in lovely Shoreham

A friend of mine has recently moved to a small cottage in the lovely village of Shoreham in Kent.
Ever since she and her husband moved to the cottage, her husband has complained of feeling 'uncomfortable' in the house - especially upstairs where he feels "as if he's being pushed through the floor".

So today I finally paid them a visit. It's a very quaint little cottage in a very typically English little village.

I have to say that I felt quite at home in the cottage - as does my friend - and I can't report of feeling anything unusual.

My friend has done a little digging and she has discovered that the house used to belong to an old lady many, many years ago who was widely believed to be a witch.
Now here's the interesting bit, I'm a witch, my friend is a witch - but her husband is not.

Coincidence?

Probably.

Anyway, it was a delightful day and a chance for me to spend time in such a lovely place. And I also got the chance to find a lovely big chunk of flint and pick some Hawthorn berries and Elderberries.

It really was delightful.

I forgot to mention, Shoreham was apparently the most bombed village in England during the second world war.

Thier war memorial is something of a living shrine.

I took a picture of it but it didn't come out very well so I can't post it unfortunately. There was definately a strange feeling at the war memorial. It's certainly visited regularly by more than just the living.
