my second sight of a ghosts was when i was night fishing down by the royal hotel,i was sitting on the bank fishing away and waiting for a bite,with a few noises and rustles which turned out to be a cat.
i was there for quite a while when everything beacame slow and really quite even the waves stopped making a noise,when in the corner of my eye i saw a monk as clear as day walking through the wall by the hotel he just walked across the field with hes head down and not stopping for anything as if he was in a hurry for something.
a few people have seen this monk and it was normal for him to take this path up to the old clock tower but he didnt make it he dissapeared befor he got there.
i went to the old library in grays to get information ,but to no luck .if anyone can help with this i would be gratefull as this place has so many hauntings and sightings ,would make a good ghost seach i think...

there was history of monks in the area of purfleet but was not able to gain much info,there are lots of old door arches in the old walls around purfleet,if the walls are still there.
the area is steeped in history and death its unreal,the houses opposite had the old wall in their back garden but they had no back gates ,untill the council made plans to have back gates put in under health and safety,when this was done the houses sufferd with strange happenings,one even had poltergeist and others just had sights of ghosts ,i have so much info i couldnt fit it all on here.
why do you think sound went quite and time seemed to slow just before the monk appeared.
i have so many places to visit and been to that i havent got all the time to do it all.
if i have time i will right a blogg for you all to see if thats ok and youll understand why i couldnt fit it all on here.....

I think that sometimes time does seen to stand still when an apparition takes place.
I can only say that I have experienced it three times.
Once in a road accident and then when I had a little trouble with a gang who wanted to fight and a third time in a church before i was knocked to the ground by some unseen force.
The slowing down can be an action of the mind as a form of protection or it could be that at times of paranormal activity time bends in some unknown way.
