Actually it isn't all mind EG. Curses and Hexes are very real indeed, and I know many of you are probably saying "Oh you would say that", but I mean it.
Belief in curses is a help - yes, but not nessecary. Like all magick, the only person who really needs to believe is the person doing the magick, the effects will still be felt by the intended victim(s) whether they believe or not.
In fact, in some cases it's better if the victim doesn't believe. Such is their strong sense of denial they will simply refuse to accept that what's happening to them is in any way magick-related and will probably never seek the correct help they need to stop it.
Having said that though - true curses are incredibly rare. In all the years I've been dealing with this sort of thing I can honestly say I've personally only experiened a genuine case about 3 times.
All the others were either similar stories to the one above or out-and-out attention seekers.
Although I don't dismiss the above story as a hoax. You could argue that the girl was indeed cursed.
The difference being she wasn't cursed by the power of magick - she was cursed by her own mind.
