Mind ChatterHave you ever noticed the absolute garbage that goes through your head.
I have tried watching my thoughts on many occasions and it is the toughest thing that I have ever tried.
I remember once trying to help an Indian friends daughter who was hearing voices. Those voices were telling her all kinds of things and she was becoming very ill indeed. Her parents being from the culture that they were blamed themselves and kept asking me what they had done wrong and these were well educated people.
I asked her to write down all of these things and after a few weeks she realised what rubbish it was and it did indeed seem to help.
I often wonder what it would be like to actually be in charge of your own mind. I mean really in charge.
I wonder how many people are?
How would your life differ if you could be in control of your own mind.

The worst form of mind chatter is that time in your life when something really bad happens and you are involved.
Your mind seems to ask the same questions over and over and always comes back with the same answers.
I think it would be a good thing if we could beat our minds with a shoe at times and make it stop.
Boredom is another state of mind that is crushingly weakening and yet you would think that in a world of plenty, in the way of distractions, that you should never be bored.
Fortunately I am not suffering from either of the above at the moment but I do feel sorry for the millions that are.
What exactly is boredom.
What a waste of energy and the ability to be creative.
Even what I have written here is just another load of mind chatter.
Mind chatter takes us into a darkened room where everything is restricted.
Perhaps we should fit a set of curtains to it and remember to open them and let the light in when things are not going to well.

A lot of good can come out of mind chatter.
Most of it is just crap but sometimes, if yo listen closely enough, you'll hear some good stuff.
Everything starts in the mind. Everything.

Very true but most mind chatter in non productive garbage.
There is a massive difference between chatter and thought.
One is like receiving every rubbish radio signal around and the other is a controlled and directed event.
I wish that I could control my thoughts 50% of the time.
That would be enough of an achievement for one whole lifetime.
