Learn respect the hard way

I play golf with a taxi driver called Terry.

He is a really nice guy and yesterday he was filling the tank in his taxi when some youths started to cause a problem.

I think some words were said to the Pakistani garage proprieter and the young men were shouting and pulling stuff off of the shelves and throwing it about.

Terry asked them to behave and was greeted by a barage of bad langusge and threats and one youth stuck out his chin inviting a puch.

Terry oblidged with a half hearted swing and the youth was laid out cold.

What they didn't know was that Terry was a boxing champ and although he looked a bit dopey he was anything but.

Thats assult cried the youths in unison.

No said Tery assult is what comes next if you lot decide to carry on with the fight.

Needless to say realising that this old git was a bit tasty the cowards slunk off.

I like that and I hope the young men in question think twice before they pick on what looks like a vulnerable target again.

Round of applause for Terry.

I was shopping at Birmingham's Old Rag market a few years ago, when a stall holder notice youth dipping his hand into an elderly ladies bag.
he jumped over his stall and grabbed the boy in a headlock, the youth howled abuse at his captor, but another stall holder waded in and took back the ladies purse and gave it back to her.

The youth was escorted to the entrance of the market still in a headlock, with the occasional pummelling and ear pulling.
he threatened the stall holder with the police.
At this the stall holder turned and asked us all if we had witnessed any aggression?

To which every one watching the fiasco shook their head and said no.
He was again given a cuffed ear and told that should he ever show his face at that market again he would not get off so lightly.

The mood of those of us witnessing this scene, gave a cheer.
He bowed and explained that calling the police took too long, and the stall holders metered out their own swift justice.

I always felt much safer shopping there. Shame the council tore it down in the name of progress.

why do these stories never make it to the newspapers? i'm sure we all wouldnt be so afraid of our own shadows if ppl knew this kind of thing was going on

This sort of thing goes on a lot actually. I often give some little scroat a swift backhander on my train when they play up.
Just so long as nobody sees and you're not in front of a camera.

Good for you Raymond.
