Last nightI went to the Spiritualist Church with Magi. Magi has not been for years and I go very seldom nowadays.
The medium gave a good address at the start and her mediumship was not too bad for a change.
She came to me and gave the right names and the right descriptions etc but all in the wrong context.
For instance she gave the perfect description of my mate Tom and even his name and the fact that he has a bad ear due to his time in the army being a bit too close to a loud bang as it were.
Tom was in Ireland for some time and is now 52 years old.
The medium then said that he had been a soldier in the second world war and that she felt that he came on a fatherly link, and then described my father who was never in the army due to having ulcerated legs. So she was clearly mixing up two entirely different people, one dead and one alive.
Fortunately I could work out what she was trying to say but it does raise a lot of questions about the quality of Spiritualist mediums these days.

how do they get better....?

By sitting with someone who doesn't tell them how wonderful they are and makes them work a lot harder.

..... so when do they take the chance of getting up in front of others and giving it a go..
and
have you never had a spirit that butts in and gives you information while you are working with another link?
see personally I think that the training you are talking about can limit the medium significantly... there obviously needs to be some training. for example perhaps your medium learned more that evening from reading you than in any training circle?

First let me say that i do not have spirit guides.
I think that if you are going to give a public demonstration of clairvoyance then you should be accurate.
Simple as that,accurate.
wandering from one person to another and trying to get a link just does not cut it.
If these people are being guided by spirits then they are pretty poor spirit guides and should maybe go back to haunting houses.
They bang on about their wonderful link with their guides and then proceed to come out with a load of nonsense.
Yes they need more trainig or they should just stay in the audience.

they can also get experience elsewhere .spiritualist churches need to maybee raise there standard who they choose to read ,in fact it seems that the spiritualist churches will benifit from being more choosy
