Is it a bird? Is it a plane?We've always just assumed that the first thing President Obama would have to read when he was safely inside the Oval Office was a big file with the words "Aliens: The Truth" on the front cover.Well, it turns out that the aliens might have come to meet him in person instead. Video footage from CNN's coverage of the Obama inauguration is causing a stir online, after it was revealed that a UFO-like object can be seen flying across the Washington Monument at great speed minutes after the President's speech. Most commenters on the video's YouTube page seem to think that the object is a bird of some kind. Certainly too fast too be a bloody bird. Now you know me, I want hard evidence rammed up my arse (literally) before I accept a thing as fact. I've no idea what it is, but it's definaltely not a bird. Too big and way too fast. |

Judging from the people, and it does appear to be behind the Washington Monument, I would estimate it has travelled a distance of a football pitch in a single frame.
A football pitch is about 100 yards, a frame is 1/24th of a second. Therefore it must be travelling at 2,400 yards per second, well in excess of a mile per second. Whatever it is, it isn't a bird. Even assuming a gale force wind behind it, it is still unfeasibly fast. |

I have no idea what it was, but as to the flapping, if you look carefully you can see that everything else in the picture is moving up and down. This would give the impression of flapping. | ||

As the guy in the second vid is trying to show it frame by frame it disappears from the area to the right of the monument on one frame and is to the left 2 frames later, but nowhere between these two frames so during 1/12 of a second it was nowhere at all and just reappeared to the left of the memorial later.
Nothing on Earth moves that fast !!! |
