I don't usually make myself a walking advertisment for witchcraft, I rarely wear petangrams and things and even when I do it's always under my clothes, the reason being that when ignorant people spot the pentagram they either ask me why I'm wearing a star or ask me if I'm Jewish.

Anyway, I digress. On Friday I went to the opticians and I was wearing my triple moon necklace. As it's been quite warm recently I was just wearing a t-shirt and the necklace somehow had fallen out and was on show.
I walked into the surgery and the optician was an older black man. I immediately noticed him look at my triple moon and at this point I was aware it was on show. I wasn't going to put it away because that would imply I was ashamed of it or something.
He started checking my eyes after i told him about me seeing things that were moving around and he explained "those are called floaters. they're something that is inside the eye but the eye projects them so they look like they're outside of the eye. In reality though, only He knows what they really are". "He who?" I asked "Only the Lord knows what they are and He knows everything."
So I smile politely and nod.
And then he made a comment about my bag. It's a bit of scruffy bag with patches all over it (like it's been made from bits of leftover cloth), and he says "Oh! Don't forget your satchel! Its such a beautiful satchel. It reminds me of Joseph and his coat of many colours from the Bible."

You are quite right,i too dont show my pentacle but sometime i deliberatley do as like you said we should be proud,but yes the jewish
remarks and the satanist remarks are sadley all familiar.

I don't mind people thinking I might be Jewish - there's a lot worse you could be accused of, but what really annoys me is when they ask "Is that a star of St. David?"
And before I even get round to explaining it's a Pentangle I first have to expalin that the Jewish symbol is called 'The Star of David' and not 'The Star of SAINT David', and that St. David is the patron saint of Wales and has nothing to do with the Jews.
And they always argue back and insist it is called 'The Star of St. David'.

Why do intellectually inferior people always argue?

You'd think a lifetime of continually being proven wrong would just make them shut up.

I have worn a pentacle for just about ever. It sometimes pops through the shirt and then you do get all of the silly questions.

I just tell people that I am one point short of being Jewish, but they never really get it.

I dislike those who display their religious beliefs for all to see.

I have enough with TV adverts let alone personal religious campaigns.

Those stupid fish symbols on cars, what's that all about.

If you need to belong then to me you have no idea of what or who you are.

I think it's especially true of Witches and Pagans though. I don't know why some have to walk around te way they do.
I often have people having a go at me because I don't look 'Witchy' enough.
If that means wearing black, smothering myself in tattoos and pentagrams and generally looking like a member of the Addams Family then I'm bloody glad I don't!

but what do you see if you 'really' look at a wall or the sky?

i wonder if anyone alse sees what i do?

You see the white space in between which inccidently is still there when you close your eyes posing the question is what you see inside or outside or your head and by extension an illusion.

i see what i presume is the basis of the illusion?

hundreds of tiny specks of 'light' coming into and out of existence........

they appear from nowhere and disappear again after making incredible patterns...............like a luminous computer generated graphic

Yes that is what you can see if you have the eyes to see it but most people cannot.

"reality" coming and going in a split second to be replace by another reality/illusion.

What about the spirals of light that come and go?
