Ian

A friend who helped me lots died today.

He was a master grafter.

Once he sold night clubs that wern't even his.

Why do I smile when he was so very naughty.

Perhaps it was that he was once more alive than most.
mark

awww dave ,sounds like a right charactor
swanlady

Sorry to hear you lost a good mate David.xxxx
david hobbs

I was a grafter for many years and it is a small and closed world.

To say that some grafters are charach ters is an understatement.

The image portrayed by Del Boy could not be further from the truth in Ians case.

His father was a proffesor, and when Ian left university he became a pro rugby player, but his real talent was in grafting.

David you appear to have had lots of people you care for  pass away this year...   do these things get any easier if you don't mind me asking such a  personal thing??
Sia

Sorry for your loss David x
swanlady

No it does,nt get any easier Eg.
It reminds us of our own mortality actually. and each person that passes is an individual in his/her own right.
So in answer to your question from someone who loses a member of her family every few months since the age of seven. No it does,nt get any easier.
david hobbs

I don't think in terms of easier or worse.

Life is life and most of us have had a few knocks on the journey and will recieve many more.

Yes I do miss people especially people who have influenced me in my life.

We all go the same way and just to make myself realise that life is short i have bought and paid for my funeral and plot in a green cemetery.

Lovely view

Oh, and the nice thing about sadness is that contained within it is often a feeling of love.

It's nice to know some things never change.
