Horsham teenager's poltergeist fears | Quote: | A POLTERGEIST followed a Horsham teenager home from a night's camping and is now terrorising him and his family, he has claimed.
Stephen Foster, 18, says the ghostly goings-on began when he and his friend Todd Bevis, 16, decided to go camping in St Leonard's Forest, near St John the Evangelist Church at Coolhurst.
More than a month later Stephen is still living in terror since he believes an 'evil force' they encountered in the forest has followed him home. |

I bet the offers are pouring in from the paranormal investigating fraternity.
It seems that things are livening up of late, winter must be coming.

in your experience ...do you think the seasons make a difference then??

Yes they do.
People spend more time indoors in the winter and some spend more time thinking about things paranormal.
I also know that you can sell anything door to door in the Winter because people are bored and sitting indoors. They also look at the furniture etc more and make decisions to decorate.
It has nothing to do with the volume of ghosts but the time available to interact with them. Let's face it if it's a toss up between a barbecue or a séance what choice do you make on a summers evening.
A lot of circles used to close in the Summer and re-open again in the Autumn.

Long winters nights are made for ghost stories

Our pagan ancestors knew what they were doing when they made all our festivals and holidays in the winter more 'indoorsy' than the Summer ones.
Halloween, Christmas etc, all very indoorsy.

Thing is that even in the Summer when you maybe visit friends, there is a certain time at night after dark when convesation turns to the paranormal.
In the winter it gets dark earlier and we get longer to chat about it.
It's not that there is more activity in the winter, just more time.

Yes true, but winter is the time when we all become more intospective and spend more time at home.
A kind of hibernation if you like, so it stands to reason that our activities become more homely as well, not just because it's cold outside.
