Hello FattyThe government has decided to launch a campaign on the dangers of obesity.
At first I thought "good idea'
Then I thought, what bloody business is it of theirs and who says fat is bad.
some work has shown that weight is second to fitness in the survival stakes.
In other words a fat person who is fit will out live a thin person who isn't.
I sometimes wish that government would just mind it's own ruddy business and do something of value for a change.
Perhaps I am wrong

This government does like to have someone to 'pick on'. Be it the motorist, the smoker or the bloater.
Roll on election day.

I hate to say this, but the thing that's really getting me down now is the imagrants. They royaly take the piss out of us and our country.
In December I temped at a large company that employs 2000 people.
Very multi-national. After spending one month there I would now have to admit that i'm racist. It just gets to you in the end. Not only the amount of them applying for credit cards with suspect information but my co-workers too. It seemed to me if your skin was white you were the lowest of the low. Treated like sh*t. I watched 20 odd people get sacked over 4 weeks for petty offences while our foriegn friends blatantly broke and abused the rules.
One day the girl behind me was sacked for having her mobile phone on inside her handbag. The girl on the right was sacked for not being smart enough (and she was) the chap on the left given a final warning for not turning off his computer at the end of the day. I think they docked him pay. The same day the foriegn chap in front of me strolls in half an hour late. go's shopping on the internet, then makes an aloud ten minute tea break last 30 minutes and leaves his computer on with some old dears credit card details on. Then comes back and eats at his desk. Then goes to lunch for an hour and a half. then hides under his desk on his mobile before going back on the internet. He's shift ends at 6.00pm but he just strolls out at 4.30 leaving not only his pc still on but also his phone logged on to incoming call. He didn't give a f*ck and no one said a bloody word to him. Every one of the above we were told is an instand sackable offence. He did this everyday and got away with it. And he wasn't the only one. The white people just got treated badly and eventually sacked as positions dried up.
Awful bloody place.

You should have pointed all this out at the time and demand to know why he was getting away with all this whiel others were losing their jobs.
You could have built a case of racial discrimination against the company.
White people in this country are finally waking up and realising that the 'race card' can be played both ways.
I've pulled the race card a few times on my employer and it's worked.
White people ARE being discriminated against in Britain today on no other grounds than their skin colour.
For years we've been forced to accept anti-racist legislation and now it's time to make it work in our favour.
Of course, there is a chance your employer only wants to employ ethnic people because generally they are easier to hire and fire.
That's why cleaning companies generally prefer to employ black people because usually they don't make a big fuss when fired like white people do.

I did complain to one of the bosses who in turn went to their boss and was promptly sacked the following day.
I guess my real gripe is being out of work in the first place. I've worked all my life and always paid my taxes but it means nothing. I'm at the back of a very long queue now that I need help. I'm fighting these people for what little jobs there are out there. I can't pay my rent. At the end of the month I will start going into huge dept. This chap in question bragged that he had two houses in East London. You can bet who's paid for them and is still probably paying.
You know, I have black friends. It's hurts me to think how this and previous governments have made me feel.
They have ruined this country and made me a very bitter person.
The applications that I dealt with were,
30% British nationals
70% Foriegn people that had gained or were trying to gain british citizenship
Maybe i'm not racist. I like living in a multi-cultural country. Maybe i'm just anti-government?
They let it happen.

Actually I would say the majority of people feel that way Kas.
There is a problem, a huge problem in this country at the moment and it isn't racist to say enough is enough.
Most people who come to live in Britain are hard working people who simply want to improve their lives and that of their children and any fair minded person couldn't argue with that.
But there are a lot of people who come here who simply want to freeload and live of the benefits of our system.
We need to stop worrying about being called 'racist' just because we think this kind of behaviour is wrong.
We need to start getting tough. Not only with foreign nationals who want a free ride but also with British people who think it's perfectly ok to sleep until lunchtime and do very little all day.
I really, really hope we get a tough government into power very soon (maybe the Tories, maybe not) to sort this mess out.
Something quite drastic needs to be done because if things continue the way they are then I see one of two things happening.
People will take the law into their own hands and we will end up will civil war in Britain or the vast majority of people will get so fed up they will end up voting in a group like the BNP.
And to be quite honest I really wouldn't want to see either of those outcomes in my lifetime.

I think a large problem is the obsession people have with wanting their politicians to be so sterile. If someone has an affair why is he suddenly no good for office?
Because of this whiter than white approach the media etc have taken we've ended up with sterile politicians that decided as a teenager (ie before they really started living) that they wanted to be a career politician and thus kept themselves on a straight track.
Hitler would have been an acceptable politician by todays standards, non drinking, non smoking....Churchill would struggle to be allowed to be an MP these days.
The best politicians in history have had a bit of 'colour' about them. Current lot are total crap tbh, so can't see the situation improving much

I couldn't care less if they drink, smoke or p*ss in a bucket, I just want them to have a bit of backbone, a bit of common sense and get a grip on what's going on.

We appear to live in a world that models itself on what is in and the going thing.. thin and plucked pruned ... or fake and raked as I refer to it....
stop buying rubbish mags that tell you what you NEED to be wearing, stop doing what others think is right and start to actually think about how you are living only when more people begin to take (and make) effect on their own lives will the collective conscious make any effective changes.... right now we appear to be happier as masses of thoughtless mindless persons all doing what each other is doing... like the wearing of sun glasses the size of saucers by every young woman around, to the point where you can't purchase anything other than those and then we can all look like clone bees...
bring on the thin police they can line up next to the breast implant police and the flawless wrinkle free police... oh the list goes on. Whatever happened to being concerned about he self- esteem issues of young people and wanting them to be happy and make the most of what they are?
GOD no don't get me started... I love curves .. I have to because I have them .. what's the point of wanting everyone to be a bean pole? .. two rats cant' make a mice as my Granny use to say ...
So lets embrace the wonderful fact we all look different and get over it

Well said !
I do agree with what's been said by Kas and Raymond, if you're a fat white male heterosexual who smokes &drinks beer nowadays the chance of finding a job in the UK is minimal.
