Hello Everyone, I'm Beantighe!Hi all, I'm new and I've just joined, thanks to Raymond's invitation. My name is Beantighe, pronounced 'Banty'. I wouldn't call myself a witch, although others might, but I've been pagan for many years. Not a very psychic one, I'm afraid, but I'm always interested in the experiences and perceptions of others. I'm a bit shy in new company, so please be gentle with me! I look forward to getting to know you all.

Oh sorry, no, David, I haven't had any orb experiences myself, but my best friend used to. It's hard, I find, to believe in things like this until you've seen them for yourself, but the paranormal usually takes one look at me and says: Oh, it's her, - and scarpers!

I've been on forums before where I've innocently given my viewpoint, meaning no offense at all to anyone, and some blinkered idiot has decided I'm bigoted, anti-this, anti-that, and has then launched into a spiteful, vitriolic personal attack on me which really hurts and has left me feeling depressed and afraid to speak, also not knowing who to trust. It's the sense of betrayal that hurts most, when it's from people you thought were your friends. There's always a wall between me and them after that.

Depends in what way 'toughen up', Raymond! I love a bit of banter, but sometimes I'm not sure how to take things - don't know always when people are joking or being serious, and I'm anxious not to offend people, as I've had my fingers burned before. If I'm not sure, I'll just stand back a bit until I get my bearings. Hope you understand.

Just remember, nothing said here is ever meant personally, it's always banter - not matter how 'barbed' it may sound.
As for offending people, so long as you're true to yourself and say what you believe then I don't see how you can offend anyone.
You're still very new to this forum but I know you'll fit right in. In time you'll be swearing and running around naked like the rest of us.
