Forum Ranks - Your ideas/opinionsMost forums have a rank system, where each person has an accompanying picture and rank name with each of their posts.The more posts you make, the higher in rank you become. Is this something you would like to see on this forum? If so, what do you think the names of the ranks should be? |

Is there a ranking among ghosts?
ie, does a spirit rank higher than a spectre but less than a ghoul? I don't know, just thinking out loud

Individual ranks arent really possible, but if evergreen so wishes I could certainly knock up a green wallaby avatar (or anything else she desires). I'll do the text now, the pics might be a while, tied up with a fairly large graphics project for someone. |

Ok, these are the ranks as they stand now:
If you wish to change any of the numbers/names in the admin panel go to section 2 and select ranks. it is fairly easy to navigate as far as the text is concerned, the images are a little trickier, I will get on to that asap. |

Changing to an individual description of the poster os something that would have to be done manually every time someone joins the forum.
I know I don't have the kind of time to do that (nor the inclination to be perfectly frank). So if it is me that is expected to do this then it is a no no. I have no objections to someone else doing it though. |

If there are truly issues that only certain people would want to discuss (I can't think of any), then a 'usergroup' system could be set up. EG you could have a usergroup for 'clairaudients' and one for 'spiritual healers' etc etc etc and forums that only members of the groups could see.
I personally feel that would be a big waste of time on everybodys part though. I could look into adding a description, similar to the 'Location' description, where people could add what they 'are' within that....I know this is possible though I don't know how to do it (yet). |

If it is required I can add more ranks with different settings for how many posts are required.

I am easy on the subject Bravo. Not dodging the issue just leaving it to all you others out there to decide. Democratic or what How's about some more martial arts philosophy. It seems pretty mystical and almost paranormal to me. |

Is it time for an overhaul of these?
It is perfectly feasable to let people have their own custom rank, say for a minimum amount of posts? Ideas/opinions? |
