You what? omg raymond, i'm 18, and even i know who the hell Hendrix is! my god man!! put down the shirley bassey and get out the Hendrix!
*proceeds to burn guitar on a stage*
Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Raymond
I don't think it has anything to do with age, that's just not my sort of music.
Anyway Waff, you've already demonstrated that your taste in music is shite, so what the hell do you know?
Waffle King
More then you apparently
Raymond
Oh I don't think so.
Waffle King
Says the man, who doesnt know who Hendrix was, i'm dissapointed Raymond, most gays know about Hendrix, seeing as he pretended to be gay for a few years to get out of the army
Raymond
See, there you go again with the homophobia.
Why should I have heard of every person who had ever done something "gay", do you know every person who had ever done something "straight"? Or everyone who had ever open his mouth and made himself look like a complete prick?
Raymond
I dare you to find any gay man who likes that kind of music.
evergreen
.. hahahhaha
god don't dare him he may find one :)
Raymond
I doubt it.
No self respecting gay man would give more than 10 seconds of his time to that crap.
billy nomates
so all gay men have the same musical tastes then?
is that like no straight men like george michael or r.e.m?
david hobbs
Hendrix was the best.
I play his stuff full blast.
When Magi's out
Scott
i don't know about all gay men but i certainly dont like this kind of music and i dont think any gay man i know would like it either. gay men mostly like music you can dance to and i can't imagine anybody dancing to this sort of thing
billy nomates
are you all programmed to like kylie now then?
i had one gay friend in my late teens.we were seriously into the pistols, clash, television, iggy , damned etc........funny but i dont remember him pogo-ing to abba!
what ever happened to rebellion?

and girls aloud!
billy nomates
i like them too...but not for the same reasons...........
Raymond
And that's the big difference here.
When it comes to female performers straight men like them because they are good to look at, gay men like them because they are simply fabulous.
What's 'fabulous' about this Jimi Hendrix?
wackyjacky
I have to say, I'm, not a Hendrix fan... can't see what all the hoo ha's about. Billy... typical .
Raymond, did you get tickets for that Shirley Bassey show @ the Roundhouse in Camden?
wackyjacky
I've got tickets to see these guys next month. I went to see them last year... brilliant!
wackyjacky
I love this song (and version)
Ok last one... I love this one too!
billy nomates
i will admit that the jimi clip on this thread is just ordinary fare........
but he was possibly the most exciting guitar player ever!!!!

one of the earliest anyway... there are many great guitar players these days

My wife had a gay friend who was into punk music. This was in the '70s, so I suppose it has been the thing nowadays for gay men to prefer "sweet" music.
As a student I had a few gay & lesbian heavy metal friends...
It must be as I said then. Times change !
david hobbs
Nothing to do with time
It's just that our gay members listen to crap music.
No taste whatsoever
Scott
i'm sure raymond would agree with me but when it comes to music you can't put gay men and gay women in the same bracket. gay women listen to some very strange music. kd lang for example!!!lol . but most gay men, not all, but a lot do prefer things like kylie and girls aloud simply because it's happy poppy dancy music. for me it depends on the situation i'm in. if im at home just chilling out then the last thing i want is a load of thumpa thumpa music so i'll put on the carpenters or barbra striesand or something like that but when i'm out in the clubs i want to get my top off and dance like a lunatic. it's what we like doing

When it comes to ANYTHING you can't put gay men and Lezzers in the same bracket.
