ETHANThis may not mean much to some folk however tonight my 11 year old was out playing with his friends on the green when a woman who live in a house opposite came out and started bad mouthing him.
She had a right go at him and told him to stay away from her kids and the others on the green and stop trying to sell the kids ciggarettes.? Ethan told her he does not smoke and if she did not believe him she was welcome to come and see his mum. etc
He was then told to stop being mouthy and go away.?..............................
This has i confess annoyed me as he is a typical 11 year old going on 13 so to speak but does indeed not smoke or do drugs nor does any of the family,so i feel the lad has been done a wrong indee and is owed a apology. It is more than likely hes been confused as someone else.
But it just goes to show that some people see what indeed they want to see and when given the fact still will only see what they want. In a small way i feel she has abused a minor which indeed makes her no better than the so called boy she is refering to who indeed may be selling such things to the kids.

Go over and have it out with her. If she's a reasonable person she'll see she's made a mistake.
I really wouldn't start using words like "abused" though ww. That word is bantered about too much these days and like all words that are over-used it's starting to lose it's meaning.
It's getting so you can't even talk to people without being accused of 'abusing' them.
Just go and have a chat with her and explain she's got the wrong boy.

Chris.. I think your son handled himself beautifully what a great way to show how grown up he is in standing up to the lady without being rude...
I also agree with Raymond she has obviously got ti wrong and made a mistake, so talking to her really should clear it up.. If it was him who was doing this then I think she was right to confront him in some way... perhaps she should have spoken to his parents instead... but like I said she has made a mistake so for the sake of your son perhaps speak to her.. :) good luck with it
