Have you noticed how there is Lot's of media attention to the drink culture in this country. Our government allowed pubs to open 24/7 and surprise surprise every night is party night. Drunkenness amongst young people is growing more and more.
Now what's the betting that after encouraging this culture through government legislation large tax increases will be put on booze under the guise of protecting young people.
They could not give a damn about young people but the tax will replace what has been lost due to the anti smoking lobbies successful campaign.
I bet you die quicker from booze than you do from smoking. I should know, booze killed my brother.

we live in a country infested by miserable people who want to stop others doing anything they enjoy.addictions have been around since lilith.....whether it is booze,drugs,chocs they are all forms of mental problems.....people drink because they are happy,sad or weirdly because they enjoy it!!!!!
it is laughable that almost every day some 'body' comes out with some report.why? to justify their own huge salaries and to soothe their own egos. it's the usual story of do as i say not do as i do.........the government says we are all overweight.......blair had tits,brown is a lump and prescott?
a friend of mines dad was a doctor.booze killed him and yet he was an educated man who knew all of the pitfalls.........he had a bag placed in his stomach to stop him drinking. one day he went out and got so drunk that he crashed his car.when the police arrived he was vomiting wildly due to the bag........they thought he was dying as he was foaming at the mouth............sadly a year or so later he did in fact die..........shows me how strong addiction can be.
