Divining rodsDoes it work?
Uri Geller makes a fortune (or used to) flying about in a helicopter and being paid by BP or Shell to divine for oil above the sea.
We should know by now that Geller is a fake but I have seen old men who know what they are talking about divining for water and finding it 1st time.
How can one person find water and another find oil...surely all divining rods would pick up the same energy?!..or maybe that just supports my point that Geller talks shit.
And why do the rods always cross on ley lines? Energy of some kind or just a pshycological thing? ..because the person knows they are standing on a ley line? Would they still cross if he didnt know the ley line was there?..I doubt it would somehow.
btw...divining tip from a real diviner a saw on T.V..
The best divining rod is a make shift coat hanger bent into shape.
..and he proved it worked..he found water and could tell how deep it was.

As the body is mostly composed of water then magnetically our water and water in the soil must be attracted to each other. This must give enough to the nervouse system to cause dowsing rods to move.
The problem is then with divining gold, lost objects etc. Perhaps the mind is under will and the nervouse system will react to that object. If I think of coins for instance, then my nervous system is saturated with that idea, quite how it reacts to a coin buried beneath the soil when our conscious mind cannot percieve it being there is a bit of a paradox.
I have found dowsing rods the best way to introduce people to the paranormal. it's a an easy experiment and it works. I use copper or brass rods in the same manner as the coat hanger.
I was forever losing my keys and always found them with the rods.
I find the pendulumn slightly awkward to work with.
Rods cross on energy lines in the same way a compass will distort momentarily bfore realigning north in the same areas. Wether people believe in these lines or not, wether they are magnetic forces or water, or simply the build up of thought energy, by proving dowsing works, as it does, proves that because lines that are found by different dowsers at diffrent times then they must exsist.

I have tried the rods on many occasions and they work very well.
Sometimes I use them on investigations to locate wells and even particular haunted spots in a building. The interesting thing is not that they work, but as KJ has highlighted, why do they work.
I would think that there are as many theories for that as there are for the question, What are ghosts.
OK here's a theory that I am making up as I type. There is no separation between yourself and all that you can perceive. That which you perceive exists because you exist. You are interacting with yourself.
On the other hand it could be something else entirely :D

The thing is that here we have absolute proof of something happening that simply should not.
You would expect science to pay a little more attention and not come up with daft ideas about muscles twitching etc. Dowsers know exactly what the are doing and do it an awful lot and it works.
Does anyone know of a definitive scientific study of dowsing?

I do not know of a study done sorry , but I do know that my father hired a man to divine for water when I was a kid and it worked. I have used rods for a number of things.. I am lucky (I guess) to not need them i can just know .. but I believe the rods work wonderfully and I would not hestiate to have someone look for water oil gas what ever with them.. my GUESS as far as picking up oil or water is the intent of the user ...
I use coat hanger wire and pens with the inners taken out so the rods can spin very freely. They are just a tool I have seen them used in healing work instead of a pendulum.

Scientifically a bee should not be able to fly, but it can
Ive tried this before and its worked , wish I could say that about trying to get a bloody pic on here :D
And as Ive said before  :D Humans really dont know a lot yet we as a species are still in the baby stage

Both very interesting. All this research and science and still they only have theories for and age old art.
Interestingly water is different to a cave and a cave is different to ancient foundations and all of these are different to disused pipes. But all can be found by dowsing for them and a lot more besides.
