Designer babiesDesigner babies will become a reality and I don't think that it will be to long into the future.
Just think, you can have the ideal rug rat.
Didn't Hitler have similar ideas?
How do you see the future where designer babies are concerned.
Would you like one?

I like the slightly faulty ones, that leak lots and are unique

Then again, if I had no choice, a made to order one would be fabulous.

I don't care if they're designer or off the peg just so long as they're kept away from me.

Ah, come on now Raymond. There is something wonderful about holding a tiny baby, its like holding a world of opportunities in a snuggly little package

WHAT!?!?!
They scream, demand attention, get ill and spend the first 18 years of their life spending YOUR money!!!
Why would anybody in their right mind actually want that???
The Victorians had the right attitude about kids, send them to work!!!

They spend the first 18 years of their life growing, becoming a person, amusing you, frustrating you, and giving you so much that cannot be quantified in money.
If it was purely a cost equation, no-one would ever have one, true, but you are intentionally missing the point.
(happy sigh, he's baaack. Sneaky hug when you are not looking...HA)

You'll never convince me on the so-called 'joys of parenthood' I'm afraid.

I don't give much thought to designer babies - some may go for it some may need it ... kids are kids and no one can say what a child will do as they grow or really design what they will turn out like .
yes sure you can have a child developed so that it has no inherited disease and then wow they get knocked by a car and end up n a wheel chair or worse... nothing is really designer lets face it we are not gods

Designer babies to avoid an inherited disease or similar is fine in my books but genetically choosing your childs hair/eye colour etc just for vanity is wrong.
My gorgeous daughter was born perfect with a slight heart problem. She wouldn't be who she is without it. If I'd known beforehand that she would have it would I have opted to change it?... probably not unless it was life threatening or would seriously compromise her quality of life.
There is a place for this kind of thing but it's very limited. Sadly there will be people out there who will abuse it :(

I saw this the other day on the news (wahay!) and the first thought i had was, "Yep, the governement will fund this for super soliders" which lets face it, is a very high possibility if they can eventually alter the gene's etc etc etc, supersoldiers galore! this is just a very elaborate way of saying "No no no no no, you can use it for your vanity, while we secretly create norsefire inducing soldiers"

Well according to some of the vids on the tube The USA already has super troops out there in the field.
Apparently mind programed since child hod and literally super troops.
If I can find the link I will put it on here.
As for designer babies there is always the good and bad aspects.
To me it is unnatural but then again there are certain very nasty hereditary diseases in my own family so I am 50/50 on this topic.
Thing is it will come and probably already has.
You cannot stop evolution.

We are all part of evolution (sorry God-sqaud but we are).
It's part of our basic DNA to constantly improve ourselves and evolve into the best possible human beings we can be.
Nature's plan is for the strongest to survive and the weak to die off. The more we try and remove ourselves from nature's original idea the more we keep coming back to it, so it would seem.

Jesus what will they think of next
It would be nice just to get pregnant in the first place ( after a nasty ectopic leaving me with only a 70% of getting pregnant again) let alone a Designer baby

Perhaps a fertility spell might help.

Aren’t all babies designer babies.....
Designed by their parents DNA.
This makes each one unique.
