Crop circles, wiltshire

Take a look at a crop circle we had the good fortune of capturing while we in wiltshire over the weekend. Fresh done the night before. Mr Hobbs will tell you all about it. See our main site for pic at the moment until i can get it on here.

You saw it here first

We arrived in Wiltshire after a horrendous journey so in true investigative tradition we made straight for the bar at the Barge Inn public house.
Soon Ian and I were engaged in conversation with a very interesting man who now lived in Alton Barnes but had in the past traveled the world. as luck would have it he was also a croppie. I asked him about any new crop circles in the area.
None about he answered. I must have looked a bit disappointed because he winked and said that one was imminent. I was not to be disappointed the next day bright and early the word was out. Planes flying over and circling the area south of Knapp Hill below Adams Grave.
We didn't waste anytime getting over to take a look and as with all of theses crop designs you have to climb to get a good view so we climbed to the top on Knapp Hill and you can see the resulting picture.
There is a lot to tell about our trip and I will be posting it bit at a time as there is so much.
Lets just say that I met the author Andrew Collins, and an apprentice magician, and some other very interesting people.

Glad you had a good trip David and Ian

Now I am a crop circle believer, some just can not be done by the human hand over night, however...

Im a wee bit dubeus by the croppie man saying one was imminent, how would he know one would turn up in the morning, saying that
It does look like a good crop circle, bit hard to tell untill we find a ariel pic of this one

But Cool Man 8)

Does it really matter whether the crop "circles" are man made or alien made or whether they just appear. They are indeed magical markings in the fields and I for one find them most enchanting. Anne

I think that if it were shown that aliens or whatever were responsible for crop circles it might matter just a teensy weensy bit. I do agree that they are majical though. People travel from around the world just to stand it one and wonder.

The designs of these things are quite simply amazing. I wish I knew the relevence of them as in what they mean but I'm sure I'll never find out in my lifetime. I have yet to visit one but I'm sure I'll see one up close sometime this next year.

I know that a few have been 'man - made' but to be honest, I don't think all are, the designs are too intricate to be done in the dead of night and one night at that, with such presision. I'm awstruck when I see pictures of them. Truely amazing!

Wackey take a look on our forum at past investigations and you will see all that you want to know.

Failing that meet me next month at Alton Barnes. You can bring your own tent

Perhaps you are a wimp though?

Oh I will also be asking Anne and Ian

Well Dave, why should it matter a teensy weensy bit if it were aliens making the crop art/circles ! After all however they are made has been "going on" for decades. The circles found in the paddy fields in China, since the 17th century, the circles made in the rushes [cant think what country at the moment] and what conclusion has been made, or how has it made any difference to mankind, and have any aliens been found? and please dont quote Roswell still love you though Dave Anne

I stayed at Alton Barnes this trip, the epicentre of the crop circle world.

Nothing in the way of crop circles of course but the area (pub) is still full of very colourful charachters indeed.

One lady staying at our B&B looked at me as if I were quite insane and should be pitied when I suggested that a lot if not most of the crop circles were man made.

I also told her that I knew quite a few of the people involved in making them and she implied that they were lying.

Isn't belief a wonderful thing.
