Credit Cards

I think that they were a conspiracy to make everyone have the bank as a partner.
Raymond

I got rid of my credit cards last year. I don't want them knowing what I buy.
billy nomates

they are a conspiracy to steal peoples money,houses,possessions-
all quite legally.........

So why do the vast majority use then.  I see people buying a packet of fags and a bar of chocolate with them.
meiah

I prefer not to use cash (albeit I generally use a Debit card rather than a credit card).

I use my credit card only when I know I can clear it the following month. No risk to my home and possessions.

Doesn't bother me who knows what i buy, I have nothing to hide.
OK they can build a profile up of my spending habits. So what?
My bin man could do the same if he was that interested.

That is fine, many people are not as disciplined and spend their lives in debt.

When we had cash we gave none of our shopping money to the banks,  or at least very little.  Now we pay them money with every purchase.

Not us directly but the shopkeeper.  That part must be paid for by someone.
Raymond

I just prefer to use cash. When I first got into credit/debit cards it became all to easy and I ran up quite a debt.
Last year I decided to get rid of my two credit cards and debit card, wasn't easy but I paid them off and cut them up.
Now I just have a 'hole in the wall' card so I can only use cash, that way if I haven't got it I can't spend it.
evergreen

I'm much the same, never had one dont' think i'll ever get one.....  The only debt I have in my home loan and that is bad enough
billy nomates

people generally use them because they think they will pay the money back with ease.........then when they do not ,they start paying interest on interest .all very nice for the vampire banks..........

we live in a country where many are playing at 'keeping up with the joneses'.so those that want a champagne lifestyle on brown ale money have to get the dosh somewhere.and those nice credit card companies will welcome you with open arms...........our country is built on debt and it will surely end in disaster............paraphrasing nm rothschild.......
'give me a country's money and i will control that country'..........
david hobbs

I believe that credit cards show the true power of bank over government.

good idea. lately I have started leaving my card home. temptations are everywhere.
and yes, credit cards are a way of enslavering population.
Has anybody read 'Affluenza'? Nice explanation there about how we are all kept in line because we have bills to pay, mortgage and so on...
sheelanagig

You can buy a credit card type card with a set amount to use online or over the phone to pay bills or buy things.

There are several companies out there that offer this service for a small fee.
