Conversations with a Serial KillerHas anyone been watching the latest offering from Living? It's almost exactly the same as Dead Famous with that Gail Porter lass, but this time they've got British investigative journalist Julie McDonald, and American psychic medium and ex cop, Bobby Marchesso trailing around trying to hunt down the ghosts of various serial killers.
It's watchable, but everywhere they go the medium just so happens to pick up on the spirit of the person they're looking for .
Has anyone else been watching this series? Any thoughts?

I once watched ten minutes of most haunted.
Never again.

I watched some of that Most Haunted over Hallowe'en where they went to the old mental asylum - it was that bad I actually couldn't help watching it .
I couldn't believe half the stuff they got up to. Is it possible for Yvette Fielding to become much stranger?

She will get as strange as you like for the right amount of money.
Trouble is that people think that's how to conduct a paranormal investigation.

Nikola Tesla would have had a fit if he'd seen Yvette and her entourage messing about with his electrical balls (no giggling in the front row please). I couldn't help laughing when she'd been standing in front of them while they crackled away for a while and then said 'ooh, I've got a headache coming on...'

Why do we get all holier than though about TV paranormal nonsense.
TV is a business and it suplies what the public wants.
It seems that the man and women in the street want this sort of thing so who are we to judge.
Or should I not include all of you.
If I was offered the right money I might just have a go myself.

I think the problems start when people who are meant to be carrying out responsible and ethical investigations start behaving like the people they see on tv.
If someone takes a photo of an orb in someone's house, instead of telling the homeowner it's probably just dust, they launch straight in for the 'ghost manifesting' option and scare the tenant to death. Not very nice really.

Bollocks.
The problem starts because all the little ghost hunters are jealous they never thought of the idea of putting what they do on TV first.
Yvette and Carl are now multi-millionares, live in a huge house on a farm, have about 7 cars and want for nothing.
Bloody good luck to them!

You know, Raymond, ASSAP would nail their doors shut if you ever came aknocking...

Who are they and what do they do?
They're not part of John Penis and his mob are they?

I believe they are the Men in Black of the paranormal world.
They carry big EMF meters, like paperwork and dark spaces.
Or so I've heard anyway...

I still haven't made contact with my latest case and i got given it over a month ago. I may have to hand back the black suit.

She's right you know, i can vouch for that happening with most of the different groups that i work with. They all follow MH's practices no matter what they report to.
I've said this before, Karl & Yvette had no interst in the paranormal. Karl watched The Blair Witch Project and thought what a great idea for a tv show. Having someone scared, and filming themselves with a video camera.
They had to think of topic to fit though and ghosts fitted perfectly. Hence MH was born. They made it up as they went along.
Credit where credit is due it was a great idea.

Of course there are plenty of 'groups' who have started on the back of MH and run around dark buildings shouting "Just show yourself!" and anybody with an ounce of common sense knows this is not the best way to conduct a paranormal investigation.
My gripe is with the so-called 'professional' investigators. This ASSAP lot sound like the sort I mean.
"We don't watch things like Most Haunted" - yeah right. Of all the paranormal investigators I've met it all boils down to one thing, jealousy.
'Serious scientific research' crap! They just want to get spooked like the rest of us.

You couldn't be further from the truth, besides we don't get time to get spooked what with filling in loads of paperwork!
Of course with any large group you will always get a few that are different. But Assap's not like the type of group your thinking of. There a scientific organisation. Each case is studied over a period of months to years. Not for a half hour vigil.
You would be strung up if you mentioned the words "Most Haunted" at Assap. I was almost removed from the ranks for writing an article about filming with them.

Sounds like a right bunch of tossers. What is all this 'paperwork' for? Do they actually think anybody wants to read this paperwork?
People want to see a ghost. Simple as that, not read paperwork.
ASSAP sound very much like The Ghost Club, and take it from me the Ghost Club are so far up their own arses they can brush their teeth from the inside.
I'd much sooner go on a more home-spun kind of investigation with a 'rag-tag' bunch of like minded people who just want to have a bit of fun than a bunch of miserable old farts who think all this paranormal bollocks actually matters to anyone.

Kas

I can't be arsed to defend Assap or myself to be honest. In fact i have no need to.
There not in to trying to force their beliefs on to people or argue with other organisions.

So who do you like to pretend to be, Yvette or Karl?
